This is a cute park with plenty for kids of all ages to do. An added bonus it's right in town, but they've made it seem like a little secret spot! Very cute!

This is one of Westerville's premier parks/ playgrounds. It's a really big park and the playground has lots of equipment and activities for kids of all ages, including some natural areas the kids can explore. There's lots of parking for the parents. My grandkids from Colorado and Kentucky were here for a visit and we made multiple trips to the playground.Kudos to the City of Westerville Dept of Parks and Recreation.

This park has a truly amazing playground set up. There's a massive play structure with so many things for kids to do - tons of climbing options, slides, monkey bars, challenges like moving steps to walk on, and so much more. There's a small section for little kids with little rocking ride-on critters and a little playhouse. An immediately adjacent area features a variety of swings, a Neos 360 interactive play structure, and a seesaw. Right nearby, down a little slope is a fabulous natural play area with a slide and other activities. It's along a little stream area. A little covered area overlooks the natural play area and has a picnic table. All of this neat stuff to check out is accessed by a boardwalk from the parking lot. There's a shelterhouse and basketball court by the parking lot, as well. While there are benches located around the playground, there's not much in the way of shade for adults. The large playset has some covers on there for those playing. This wasn't a big deal during cold weather, when the sun felt good for the extra little bit of warmth it provides, but I imagine that could get steamy during the summer. The combination of natural play area and the amazing playground made this a very impressive park option.

Holy cow, how did we miss this? Heard about it from a mom at another playground. I'm sure there are other parts of the park, but we only went to the playground. And Baby K absolutely loved it. All sorts of things to do, from slides to climbing to tunnels to music. Big, so kids can play and spread out as needed. A few benches for parents. A bathroom building nearby. Bring your kids, of all ages- they'll love it.

the majority of parks i take my kids to usually have no shade, so this park won't lose a star from me, but yes, there is not a ton of shade. however, if you're looking for a fun open space to take your kids to play, this is it. totally worth our 20 minute drive. also great for those who are still toddling. some perks: colorful. inclusive. sustainable. wheelchair friendly boardwalk. wetlands. accessible swings. basketball court. neos 360. picnic tables. trash and recycle cans. AND MULCH FREEEEEE!

Great park, however, the playground is a bit difficult to navigate for parents. It is almost impossible to watch your kids every moment they are there because parents have a very difficult time walking under and around the large play area. I feel it could be more secure, but overall the playground is huge and the smalls love it. The place it spotless and well taken care of.

This park is so fun! It's the perfect training location for all your mini Ninja Warriors. There is a variety of equipment that fits kids from new walkers to tweens. I even enjoyed playing here. There are several gravel paths that take you through wild flower gardens and down by a little stream. It's like a little secret garden. There are bathrooms here and a basketball court. Lots of space to run around and there are paved bike ways around the park.

The bad first - NO shade for parents or kids (aside from some areas on the play structures themselves). This precludes the park from receiving a 5-star rating. The good is that this park boasts a plethora of activities in which kids can find fun. There are two soccer fields, a half-court basketball court with two hoops, swings, a massive play structure, a pond with easy access, and a physical activity where kids have to run from one light to another to switch them off as they turn on (I really don't know what this is called but it looks fun). Importantly, there are bathrooms on site as well as a water fountain. The area on which the play structure and swings are located is the padded rubber type substance that is great for when falls occur, and there aren't really rocks or any mulch that could otherwise be strewn about. All this makes for a great presentation, particularly given the newer equipment (park opened in 2010).This is by far a favorite location for us to visit, but the swings, slides, and rocking type toys all get way too hot when the sun is beating down, since there are no trees at all to give any relief. Be prepared to go when it's cooler or cloudy, so as not to burn any legs or arms!

This park is awesome. My two young sons, 2 and 4 years old, have been to many parks in the Westerville area and this is right up there on our list of favorites!

Broad variety of play equipment. The gyroscope is showing wear and doesn't spin freely or easily.
