Milano Cafe

Ever since coming to live in the area, I have been told by several people how delicious Milano Cafe is. They would rave about the food. After hearing it for a few years, my family and I came by one weekend to try it out. Sadly to say we were disappointed.Driving to it, the outside is actually quite nice. It looks like a quaint and rustic Italian mom and pop restaurant. When you go inside, well it looks like a rather old basic bar. The atmosphere, in other words, ends at the door. There was no wait and we were immediately sat down. My brother and I ordered beer, my mother wine and we also ordered some apps. My brother got a caesar salad and we all got the mozzarella marinara. These were some thick and hearty mozzarella sticks. They did not taste or look store bought and were the highlight of the meal. I ordered for main course the Pork Chop Augustino, while my mom and brother each had their own pasta dish. All the dishes are hearty it seems but the taste is the part that needs work. The Pork Chop Augustino was ok... it was a bit bland actually. My family disliked the pasta dishes. We left most of the food and left feeling dissatisfied. Maybe it was an off day, we are not sure. But we are unlikely to return.

Today was our first time here and we really liked it. We got the Tour of Italy appetizer which included portables mushrooms, calamari and mozzarella sticks or should I say logs because those things were huge and everything was good. My wife got the Walleye and I got Chicken Nunzio. Both were really good. Staff was all super friendly and our waitress Kathy was the best.

The wait staff was very nice, but when they were told my pork chop tasted old like it was freezer burnt and I only ate two bites she said she'd tell "Frank". It didn't do any good. The cheese cake was very tasty. The environment was very nice. Just wish that my entree was eatable.

Had my mother's surprise birthday party here and the staff at Milano's did a great job taking care of the 30 people in attendance. The appetizers that were bought for the party were delicious and the server taking care of the party did an outstanding job. I apologize for not taking pictures of the food. But the stuffed mushrooms were excellent. A very nice Italian restaurant even for a romantic dinner

5 star rating. I can't remember the last time I finished a full meal not caring if I was full. We went here for a team lunch and, for the love of God, the food was phenomenal. I had the pesto pasta dish and added a side salad. The bread was brought out, complimentary, to start and it was delish. The melted garlic butter and cheese was epic. We asked for a box to take it home. It was plentiful, even for our table of 4. The house salad was fine - unusual for a house salad which I actually really appreciate. Kalamata, chickpea, bell peppers, lettuce, tomato, onion - the works. But that pasta..... perfectly cooked - fresh flavors and the best size. Not too much but enough that as I started to get full, I didn't care. It's 8:00. I ate at 11:30a. I'm still not hungry....

Ive been comin to Lima for years and Ive never thought about gettin pizza from this place until this weekend so here it is.........Not bad but not good. Ya ever tasted somethin and said "This doesn't taste like anything" well that's the pizza. I asked for extra sauces of course and it had no flavor at all. They make their own Italian sausage and it was jus ok. It had a bunch of cheese which didn't taste like anything either and the crust was too chewy and flavorless. We got meatball too. They were cooked right and from scratch so that's the good news. They added the flavorless sauce to them and it didn't do the meatballs any favors. I will give this joint another try but I will get somethin without their red sauce.

Wonderful staff delicious food and drinks... we went in for valentines to have dinner and where just so impressed with how friendly and efficient the staff was. The place is clean and inviting. I ordered a chicken dish I'm not sure the name and my husband ordered raviolis and they were just amazing. They have house made garlic cheese bread just we just loved it. I also had a salty caramel martini that was delicious The price was not too much definitely worth the great service and food

I'm Italian so perhaps I'mA bit picky . I ordered the chicken Marsala dish. It was ok. The waitress was lovely but we sat forAn hour waiting for our food after we ordered and it arrived cold. The quality was ok but absolutely not worth the 20/plate average cost! I won't go back .

The best Italian in the area. Everything is family recipes. I prefer the chicken parmesan, however the lasagna is great too.

Had a great time, atmosphere, service and meal were absolutely spot on! Had the special (prime rib) cooked PERFECTLY!
