Mi Yaad

I can never just order one plate. I have to order two. I'm completely obsessed with the curry, chicken and jerk chicken. Oh my, don't for get two patties on the side. Now my order is complete. I need to try everything on the menu, but I can't get off the curry and the jerk chicken.

I can only comment on Mi Yard's sweet plantains, as I wanted something sweet to go with my chicken mulitas from the stall next door. These were great tasting. Good flavor. This side, while a good cup and a half full, was $5, which I thought was a decent value for the quantity and quality. I think my go-to lunch whenever I'm at this Saraga will be a mulitas and these plantains. Definite winner!!

Mi Yaad - Being that Jamaica is our spot and we love the Jerk Shake on the beaches we try every Jamaica Cuisine the city has to offer. Mi Yaad was good, chicken was fully cooked but nothing to write home about. It lacked the seasoning and flavor we were looking for. Over priced for amount of food you get and quality. 2.5 out of 5

The Jerk Chicken was actually spicy. I do not like when jerk chicken has no heat to it. This actually had a kick! I loved the plantains the cabbage was good too. I'll def eat here again.

Not Jamaican food- in comparison to other great options, this is mislabeled as Jamaican (could be regional). Rice and peas with very little peas and made basmati rice? Maybe the flavoring is off or it was a bad day- either way, won't be back. Oh yeah ..., the portion sizes are small compared to Jerky on High street.

Little girl had a bad attitude, tried to masked it but didn't work. Food was alright but I literally could have made that shit at home. It literally tasted like barbecue Shame on me for wasting my money.

Food is not good, I got jerk chicken it is so burnt and gross tastes like bbq chicken to me... not jerk. I ordered spicy and it was not spicy it was sweet. The service was mid, barely answers phone. The ambiance is nice, but it's inside a supermarket so do not look for a building of its own, it's more like a vendors.

The jerk chicken was nasty and so was the service. The lady that took our order was rude. Our food sat in a box on the counter a long time before she handed it to us. The jerk chicken was cold and had an old chicken smell, it was poorly spiced and I got back pieces that were mostly bone. Sad!

I had the pea rice and plantains. Bone-in goat was delicious. Mi Yaad gives you a beeper so you can shop while waiting for meal to be prepared. Plantains were great, goat was also delicious. Looking forward to trying the chicken and other entrees in future.

I'm sooooo happy Mi Yaad restaurant opened. The only other option was Val's who have poor service and sub par food. Mi Yaad restaurant food is excellent! I've tried Oxtail which is always a generous portion, curry chicken and jerk chicken. Their jerk is the best I've had in Columbus. They were serving basmati rice & peas which I hated. But they recently changed the rice to what we are used to, much better! I'm from the Caribbean, Columbus area has very few Caribbean options, I rate this restaurant the best. No pics to show because food done! Lol
