This place is perfect location wise, but the upkeep is struggling lately. I've lived at TIvoli apartments for a year and the steps have been broken at least 9 months of that. To be fair, they replaced them, but now they are broken again. The lights are always out, and I've had a mouse inside, and see several rats running around. Don't get me wrong, I like pets, and I'm sure that they have traps, but it's pretty gross. I sub let, so the furnishings aren't new, but the community laundry rooms are pretty gross (the basement is constantly flooded, and only half of the machines work) . The price is ok, but if you are some1 w OCD, I'd recommend paying more for a newer/more kept place.

After living at Tivoli Apartments for 2 months, we would not recommend living here, even to our worst enemy. We would not live here again for many reasons. This includes terrible maintenance, an invasion of rats that makes us fear coming and leaving our apartments starting at 5pm, and terrible service at the front desk. Bridgett has been the only bright spot about living at Tivoli. On July 11, we asked for our oven & stove nobs to be replaced because the numbers had all been completely worn off and it posed a hazard for anyone using the oven/stove to not know what temperature it would be at. We also notified the staff 3 times about the broken light for the 408 back steps are pitch black at night and therefore cannot be used. It also took months for the rat problem to even begin to be addressed and that was only after it spun out of control. I now fear coming to my apartment at night because even at 5pm there are rats that are running around my car. Going up and down the back stairs of 408 means running into rats that running in and out from the holes they have dug under our steps as well as the dead rats that were left for 4 days over Labor Day weekend even after I spoke to staff face-to-face about the dead rats inches from my feet when I went to climb the steps up to the second floor.A few weeks ago, after telling the staff that this rodent problem would lead to them coming indoors once the weather got colder, we found ourselves with a mouse in our apartment. We look through all the cabinets and closets to find out where they may be coming from and found there to be mouse dropping in the utility closet and behind the dishwasher. We contacted Tivoli immediately about fixing the hole in our vent as well as looking for any holes in the utility closet and behind the dishwasher. We contacted them for about 4 days straight and requested a note to be left when it is fixed but never received a note and we believe this problem was never addressed. Most recently, we have been waiting to get our sink fixed for 5 days now. Our kitchen sink clogged Friday night but knowing how unresponsive maintenance is for MGI, my roommate and I decided to wait until Monday to even attempt to call and get our sink fixed. After 9 times contacting Tivoli and MGI Communities since Monday, our sink will only possibly get fixed. Maintenance left a note on Wednesday saying that our sink had been fixed but when we went to do dishes, it instantly filled up and had standing water. As of Friday morning at 8:30am, we have about 1.5 inches of standing water in our sink and it took an additional call to hopefully get it fixed this afternoon. When we have an issue, it is almost impossible to speak to someone directly at Tivoli. I tried to call about the dead rats as I walked into the leasing office and found the other front desk woman (not Bridgett) talking to Stevie and ignoring the ringing phone. The phone also often does not go to voicemail so it is impossible to leave a message or find out the Emergency Maintenance number.

MGI owns about a half dozen apartment complexes, mostly in Columbus. I've been staying in the Kenny Road Apartments now for over 2 years, and have been very satisfied with the experience. The apartment isn't enormous, but definitely not small for just me. The buildings MGI owns, tend to be smaller apartment complexes. The building I'm in has twelve. With fewer residents, noise from the neighbors is less likely to be an issue. What I've liked most about MGI is how quick the maintenance requests are filled. I text it in, and it's done the same day by the time I get home from work. MGI has had the best maintenance service of anywhere I've lived. The landlord is also very responsive and on top of things if there's anything you ever need. They're well modernized, offering you the opportunity to set up rent payments online instead of that archaic send in a check nonsense some people still have to go through. The rent isn't quite as cheap as some other places you'll find in Columbus, but to me the quality they offer makes up the difference. I would definitely recommend MGI to those looking for a new apartment.

So I give tivoli apartments zero stars. I have been living here for 3 months and have had nothing but problems. First my move in date is pushed back dude to the fact that the unit we were supposed to move into had a cockroach infestation. They push me back a month but to my surprise they move me into the unit directly next door sharing a wall. Not to my surprise within the first two days I discover that my unit also has a cockroach problem go figure. So I contact the property manager and she sends out a pest control unit to supposedly take care of it they say it will take ten to fourteen days to see the problem resolved. We'll unfortunately that was not the case I then had to raise hell to get another pest control unit out to take care of our apartment which took several weeks. Another problem that occurred was that the air conditioning unit also stopped working during the hottest part of the summer which also took several weeks to get someone out to fix it. Unfortunately when the maintenance guy came out he could not fix the problem and told me he would be back the next day to fix the problem. We'll that next day turned into a week before the problem was actually fixed and after Thai received an email another ten days later from the property manager asking me if the open service order had been taken care of. These people here are absolutely clueless and the customer service is incredibly awful. I can't wait to get the hell out of here never rent from these incompetent morons

I have lived in the Tivoli apartments for just over a year now, and I can say that I've absolutely loved my time here! Johnna in the office and Stevie the maintenance man are both great. We've had our fair share of "issues" with the apartment, but what apartment doesn't? Stevie was there to fix everything that day and would always leave a note in case he needed to buy a part and be back the next day to fix it. We also would receive an email saying that whatever the problem was, was fixed either that day or the following. The apartments themselves are pretty small, but my roommate and I get along pretty well, so that's not really an issue for us. You really can't beat the location for the price - we hardly ever get in our cars all weekend because there's no need. This is the 4th company I've rented from in the past 4 years (two were in a different city); however, this has definitely been my best renting experience by far. The only reason I'm not giving a "5" is because the appliances are pretty outdated - something I'm sure they're thinking of replacing soon. I'm unfortunately moving out of state and will be leaving Tivoli in a few months, but I would highly recommend living in the Tivoli apartments or any other MGI property. I've heard mostly all positive things!
