I love this little store! I always find exactly what I'm looking for and the customer service is great. They have a small produce cooler, a small meat counter, a great selection of olives and feta (the Bulgarian and Turkish are especially good) a well stocked cooler and freezer, tons of spices and bread...sweets...home goods. Really. So much goodness in a small space. They had figs the last time I was there...they were delightful. The store is just north of campus in the same plaza as Hound dog pizza. Parking in the back.

A true hidden gem that has stuck around over the years-- and I'm so thankful for it.They have so many things that you can't find anywhere else in town-- imported from mid-eastern countries, plus Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, etc. There's house-made specialties, cheeses, spices, breads, various ingredients, teas, coffees, desserts, snacks, you name it! Considering it's all imported, it's very fairly priced. Even if you're inexperienced with some of the items they carry, it's worth stopping by to try things you've never heard of before. The staff has always been pleasant and helpful, too.My absolute favorite are their frozen spinach/feta fatayer, which bake up in the oven so perfectly that you'd think they were fresh.

Hidden gem on High Street. Went with a friend who raved about this store and I wasn't disappointed. Having just returned from Greece I was looking for some authentic feta and they delivered. I think if my memory serves me correctly 5 different varieties and at a reasonable price. Great selection of olives and dates. If you are looking for something Mediterranean this should definitely be on your list. Large car park in the back. Can't wait to go back.

Mediterranean Food Imports has a pretty low-key presence, so much so that I tend to forget they're there even though I live a five-minute walk away. Like many ethnic groceries in this town, it's pretty bare-bones inside. Hey, Mediterranean Food Imports, the 1970s have called, and they would like their lousy fluorescent lighting back. That being said, the staff here have always been friendly and helpful. Which is a good thing, because things are not always obvious. There are tubs of store-made hummus, baba ghanoush, and seriously potent Turkish salad in one of the refrigerator cases in the back, although you'll need to know what you're looking for - they have neither a label, nor a price ($2.99 to $3.99, it turns out). For me, the real treasures are otherwise hard-to-find ingredients, if you're looking to cook Moroccan or Middle Eastern food: bottles of preserved lemons, Ras el Hanout (in the bulk spice section), a fair selection of olives. Plus the batches of frozen store-made fatayer, which are a pretty nice meal when you're too lazy to cook the ingredients you bought at Mediterranean Food Imports.

I've been shopping here for years. Great assortment of Middle Eastern products, plus specialty homemade meat /vegetable pies in the freezer, so they lack preservatives, etc. Good selection of pita breads (whole wheat, no preservatives), olives (you can taste before you buy), feta (sheep, goat, cow and combinations they'll be happy to explain to you). They bring in specialty dates from Arabia, which are worth the extra cost, and have a nice selection of desert items, green coffee beans you can roast, etc. Well worth an exploration. Halal meats.

Big fan of this place. Especially like the excellent selection of olives and feta cheeses at great prices - much cheaper than the prepackaged overpriced nonsense you get at the standard supermarkets. Also ordered a bunch of spanakopita triangles for a reception. Good selection of olive oil as well. Definitely worth regular visits.

I figured it was time to update... I have not been in a bit, but the people here are always sweet, friendly, and answer all questions, help direct you to the best products (and they seem to have them all).I wanted to update a discovery I recently made, I found out that the Ship (brand) of Mango Pickle is not from India, but from Iraq. It's great esp. if you do not care for oil, but love vinegar! (and I am a YES! to both, less/no oil and go vinegar!)Also I failed to mention one of my definite absolute favorites from here Attiki (a Greek brand) Honey! OMG it's just devine! I stock up so my bill is typically high, not because their $'s are, but b/c I buy 3-12 of most everything (shelf stable) I get here b/c I'm kinda a ways away from Columbus now.(2hr. [plus] round trip) so I stock up!Their dried foods are great, the jarred and canned stuff too (mostly jarred tho) and their fresh items are both reasonable and tasty!

This place makes the best in house foods. From the hummus, tabouli, tzatziki, dolmas, and baklava all homemade and delicious. The fresh olive and feta cheese selections are unbeatable with a wide range of flavors at a reasonable price. Not to mention how helpful and pleasant the staff is. One of my favorite places to shop.
