What a GEM! You wanna talk about awesome sandwiches? Let's talk about the amazing sammies and the best dang pita we have ever had, both found here in this little unassuming market. We had read they offered sandwiches a few years ago, so we went to check it out. At the back of the shop, there's a little kitchen, but no menu or chairs or anything. A nice young man asked us from behind the counter Hoe he could help and we asked about sandwiches. He said yes they do have them. He said they had chicken shawarma, another kind (maybe lamb?), falafel...we went with two chicken shawarma and he said typically it has garlic and pickles. It was mind-blowingly good! Comfort food in sandwich form. Additionally we picked up gigantic flat breads. Highly recommend any of their pitas and flat breads. Rumor has it they make them for most restaurants around town.

Awesome Falafel and Hummus , freshly prepared, on your order. Awesome array of middle eastern foods and snacks. The crowds justify the awesome service and taste of foods. The chicken shawarma take home platters for $30 are massive, enough to feed 4-5 people.I am going back for more.

Not normally a place I'd shop at only because I don't usually cook with these types of spices, but I was pleasantly surprised at all the variety at this grocery store. We came with our Columbus Alt Eats II tour and had a nice Falafel ball dish. Store was a bit tight on space, but kudos on the different types of items available. They also have desserts and candies in addition to bring able to order food at the back of the store.

Excellent chicken shawarma, falafel, and hummous! The chicken was so perfectly crisp and seasoned that it tasted like a more-delicious version of bacon somehow- and I typically don't like chicken sandwiches because they're too boring. I ate every bite of this one! I highly recommend the food. I usually tell people that I don't like hummous because I actually just don't like the US grocery store version after living in the middle east for a while- but this stuff is the real deal! So yummy, and so were the sauces that came with our sandwiches. I can't say anything about the actual location since we got this as a delivery through Columbus Food Adventures' "Trust Fall" program where you get a surprise dinner, which has been great while we are all staying home and bored of our own cooking. I'm thrilled with the food- thank you! We'll definitely have this again.

I randomly saw this little market and was curious so I went to check it out. It is a small grocery store with a lot of Turkish and other snacks I've never seen before, and it seems like their pita bread is very popular. I love checking out small markets because their customers are often only the population they target, so they are always so surprised and excited that a "foreigner" has found their market. In the back of the store, there is a little kitchen where they sell falafel (vegetarian) and beef+lamb pita sandwiches. There is no menu whatsoever, so you just have to go up and ask someone in the kitchen to order food.I ordered the beef and lamb with everything on it, and it was DELICIOUS. The pita bread was so soft and warm, and the meat and vegetables were perfectly seasoned. This was the best pita sandwich I've ever had AND it was so affordable! The sandwich was only $6. The only downside is that there is no seating area so while I waited for the sandwich, I walked around the market. The wait about 15 mins or so, which wasn't bad but longer than I expected. I will definitely come back to get the pita sandwich again!

One of my favorite little spots in town!! And definitely my favorite shawarma in town (so far)! This family-owned Arab grocery is great and I frequent it, especially when I need a quick meal after a long day. They have so many spices and ingredients to make the perfect Mediterranean dish. The owners are oh so very kind, and so is the shawarma/falafel guy. You might want to grab your friend who speaks Arabic though to help you out on this adventure. As for ordering shawarma, they are currently out of beef/lamb, but still have chicken and falafel. I usually order mine with no onions and a little bit of hot sauce. The meat shawarma is my favorite, second is falafel, then chicken. They also have some cool fun drinks as well as chips to accompany your shawarma. To be quite honest, everytime I come here I forget to take a picture of my food...every single time. It's just that good!

TL;DRService N/AAtmosphere N/AFood 5/5Price 5/5Overall 5My friend introduced me to this place a couple years ago and I am glad he did. I can't rate this place for service or atmosphere because it's mainly a grocery store with a small food counter in the back. I'm not very familiar with Arabic food so I can't comment on the grocery section of it. I will say their selection seems to be quite extensive. What I can say about the food though is that it is phenomenal. Their pita bread is soft and fresh. Their hummus and falafel are great as well. They also sell bags of pita and containers of hummus separately, in case you're inclined to take some of that goodness home. The price can't be beaten. A pita sandwich stuffed with falafel fried to order, tasty hummus, and an assortment of veggies is an incredible $4. You can't beat that nowadays.* They also offer meat options which I have yet to try but definitely will before moving away. You WILL NOT regret the decision to come here. And if you do, hey, it's only $4 and you tried out a new place.*The closest thing I can compare this place's food to is Brassica, if you're looking for a more "upscale", sit-down restaurant with greater variety. But the authentic quality and affordable price of MFI is enough to keep me coming back and not going to Brassica.

This where I buy all ingredients for great Arabic recipes. The men working there give me great guidance and help. 4 grades of bulgar. Great olives. Prices are more reasonable than found in grocery stores. They welcome non Arabic shoppers. A really great find just north of Bethel on Godown

We love this place!! Been coming for years for their freshly baked pita, hummus and falafel sandwiches (best in town)! However a few months ago I saw someone walk out with spinach pies (triangle shaped sandwiches in Lebanese style not Greek) These are so time consuming to make so I was thrilled that I could buy here! They were delicious!!! Just call ahead to put in your order so they can make them! I buy by the dozen!
