Main Eatery

Came into town so hungry and there weren't many options. If you are here visiting hocking hills, driving by, or live here this is a MUST regardless. The food was priced reasonably and it tasted great. There are so many milkshake flavors to try so I will be back every night of my trip. The food runner brought out our food to the outdoor seating. Timing was good. Love being able to sit outside and order at the window.

I found Main Eatery on Yelp. My sister and I were coming from Hocking Hills State Park and we were starving. I was very overwhelmed by the menu as it was huge. After looking at it for 10 minutes I asked the server for some top sellers. She suggested the fried veal sandwich. I had never heard of such a sandwich so I was curious and tried it. It was one of the biggest sandwiches I've ever been served lol! So much food I could only eat half. The sandwich was delicious. I took the other half home and my dad enjoy the rest.I also ordered a milkshake. I had the hot fudge milkshake and it was so good! I was also pleasantly surprised that they served Pepsi products as I was in need of a caffeine fix after all of the hiking.Our server was friendly and helpful. The inside was relatively small with about five tables but there was more seating outside on the porch. McArthur is a very small town and I was pleasantly surprised to find this diamond in the rough;)

An easy to miss restaurant on the side of the main road, Main Eatery was an absolute pleasure to visit. The menu was huge, with all different types of food. Currently the only seating option was on the patio, but it was comfortable and fun. Between 5 of us we got a chicken sandwich, a couple of the bacon and egg breakfast sandwiches, fried pickles, a Cuban, fair fries, and mozzarella sticks. All of the food was cooked to order and so delicious. Large portions and cheap prices. The breakfast sandwich really stood out to me, it's hard to make an egg sandwich on toast something special but this one had some really nice flavors to it and the egg was cooked to perfection. I will also definitely go back just for the fair fries, they were sooooo good. The woman who helped us was very nice and professional. With delicious food and cheap prices this place is a must visit when you're in McCarthur!

Diner was amazing, and prices were affordable. It had a nice big porch for outdoor dining which was much appreciated while we were staying socially distanced. We have four kids, so we all ordered a sandwich each and then two sides to split, and there was so much food that we took some home. Onion rings were KILLER!

Not only do they serve delicious ice cream creations, but the food is surprisingly delicious-not the kind of food you would expect from a tiny shop! Many things are scratch made, and it's always fresh. We love the variety of fries with different toppings-but don't even try to eat them all with your fingers, you're going to need a fork! That's a good thing! You get big portions for the price, everything is a great value for quality food! Service is always very friendly, too. The only negative thing I can say is, I wish they would expand! More dining space would be awesome!

Fantastic restaurant. From out of town and was driving through, stopped in for lunch. Very glad I did. Would recommend highly. Great food and very good value.

Dang. This comfort food was just what we needed! It was all spot on! The potato skins, the boneless wings, the subs, all delicious! We ordered in advance as its not a sit down place.

Quaint place to eat. Was a dairy queen. Does have inside seating and a patio, your choice. Nice portions with reasonable prices. Everything is fresh.

Generous portions, fair prices, great food. Bring cash to avoid the credit card transaction fee.

This place sucks. $12.75 for a large fake peach milkshake and a large water. Get out of here. I went back and asked for more ice in my $4large water and she looked like I was asking for the moon. Sucks because we are locals and there is no other place like this around that is close that I'm sure would be better than this main street eatery.
