Made From Scratch

I used Made From Scratch for a catered event at my workplace, and I was pleased with the service I received. I was overwhelmed with the menu choices, but they put together a menu for me that was exactly what I needed. With Made From Scratch you get more food than you even realize. I booked a heavy hors d'oeuvres reception for 75 people. We actually had about 115 people and there was still a lot of food leftover. I guess that would depend on how hungry your guests are, but even though this reception was at dinner time, it was still more than enough!At delivery time, I was nervous because the driver was about 15 minutes later than I was told and hadn't called me. However, he was able to set up and have everything ready in time despite the fact that the previous session let out early. So my nerves were unwarranted because they obviously built in extra time in case of traffic or whatever. I had tried the honey and Brie grilled cheese at a Yelp event in the brewery district last year, and knew I needed to have that on the menu! It was a big hit with my guests! Other favorites were the prosciutto d'parma grilled asparagus and the chicken numaki with a barbeque glaze. I would definitely order from this caterer again, especially the three items I mentioned.

I used Made from Scratch to cater my (awesome) casual wedding reception. Originally, we had planned on simply ordering food, having it delivered and doing it all ourselves. We'd save money, have food we liked and all would be grand. Then I started thinking about all the things we'd need to buy/bring/clean-up after and my head nearly exploded. So, I hit up Yelp for some suggestions and started looking around for caterers. Boy, am I glad that I did!I sent in an email and was quick contacted by Lauren Dillon. She was friendly, helpful and professional. We talked about what our event was going to be and what we were looking for and settled on a theme for the food. "Fun, non-fussy, easy to eat" was the order of the day. Within a couple of days, I have a proposal for a menu from Lauren. We had some specific food allergies that we need to work around and Lauren/MFS were super accommodating. On the day of our reception, the 2 staff members were prompt and completely set-up by the time we arrived. We literally had nothing to do! And the staff were fabulous. They took care of everything. They boxed up the leftovers as meals which were "donated" to the staff at our venue. I heard nothing but compliments about the food from our guests. While we may have paid a bit more than we would have doing it ourselves, being able to enjoy my reception without having to worry about refreshing trays or trash duty was worth every penny. I would gladly use Made From Scratch again when planning a larger event!

Made From Scratch is the best caterer in my mind. I just had my party last Sunday. I placed my order just two weeks before the party but they paid attention to every details for my party. It was fantastic and the food was really impressive. Lauren Dillon, the saleswoman from MFS was very nice, supportive and professional. Mary and Bobbi were very nice too. All my guests loved the food. My favorite is the fruits and desserts. My husband's favorite is iced lemonade. And the chicken wings and hams are awesome too. And I need to say the rice I ordered from them is one of the best I have ever had (Many of our guests are from Asian).I really feel lucky that I chose MFS for my party!

I use Made From Scratch for our quarterly business meetings at work. They make catering so easy. From ordering to setting up to coming back to pick up the dirty dishes. I love the friendly staff and the food is always delicious!

We wanted to try made from Scratch since the reviews were good. We also loved the first tasting that FP recommended so we wanted to try another to make sure we made the best choice. First of all its so far away in Plain City. Even though it was made from scratch it would have to be reheated by the time it reached the venue. Lauren was very warm and inviting but the food was under whelming. The food was bland and the steak was chewy. My (now husband) and I were both surprised how bad it was. Lauren could tell we were not thrilled and made a comment like this is just to give you a broad idea it gets better than this. I thought that was strange why wouldn't you start with your best foot? Regardless it was so bad we left there and as soon as we were in the car called the first caterer and booked them instead.

We pulled off interstate after couple weeks on road eating some pretty bad food along the way Not the case here we are putting it on our list of places to stop when traveling Fresh everything and homemade alsoStaff was awesome and now I wish I had taken a picture of my meal you could see what I meanGreat waitress told us some pretty good stories also everything

Angelina is wonderful. She set up the charcuterie cart so well and organized. Our guests loved it. Such a great combination of charcuterie, and provided plates, napkins. I would highly recommend her.

Made from Scratch catered my daughter's graduation party for 150 people! They took care of everything from the tables, tents, food etc. it was OVER the top amazing. I can't even describe the quality of food and service was outstanding! Just so thankful for the entire process. Well done MADE from Scratch!

I recently hired Made from Scratch for a Sunday brunch for 25 out of town guests. Delivery was made on time, 20 minutes before guests arrived. I discovered the three main items were not at all as described--the stuffed French toast was rubbery, the coffee cake was dense and very heavy, and the egg casserole was not at all as described. And so, there I was--guests coming in 20 minutes and I had either an embarrassing array of food or I could send it back and have no food at all. Though Made from Scratch refunded a fair amount of the cost without a problem, it did not really make up for the embarrassment of offering unappetizing food to my guests.

I ordered food for Christmas party and had poor service prior to event. Nobody would call me to answer questions-therefore order was incorrect, they did not provide enough food and I had to go to Costco after I picked up my food to buy more food for my party. I contacted immediately and emailed the president. Staff laughed at me saying I didn't understand amount of food. They said they would reimburse me for my order and they never did and I never received a reply back from owner of company when I personally emailed him. Very disappointed and will not stop letting others know how awful my experience was.
