Lucky's Sports Tavern

Nice local college bar. The bartenders are top notch! If you dare they have a board of specialty drinks and shots. The chocolate pretzel shot is yummy . They offer touch tunes, several tvs, and two pool tables. There's not much room for wild dancing but you can find a little space to bop along to your favorite tune. They do offer bar food during non-peak hours. I enjoy the bar when it's not a family weekend and you can just sit a chill, listen to some music, watch sports and enjoy some cheese sticks.

A better bar than some on the street. They do not let minors in, they serve food, have pool tables, and have a wide variety of shots to choose from. Very nice and friendly people working. It does get a bit crowded during peak times - and the bar isn't that big/seating is limited. But a go-to spot for me!Some of my favorite deals at Luckys: - Wednesday they have $5 liquor pitcher deal. They really give you a whole pitcher, yes!- Friday they have $0.50 cheese sticks from 4-8pm.

One time my girlfriend walked into the bathroom and saw a girl eating cheese fries while sitting on the sink. The bar wasn't crowded. There were numerous tables not located in a bathroom in which to eat your cheese fries. I still think about cheese fry girl to this day. Outside of cheese fry girl, this is a good local bar that (in non-COVID times) gets quite packed on Wednesday liquor pitcher nights. But it's a whole pitcher of liquor and soda for like $4!!! Outside of liquor pitcher night, the bar is pretty low key and a good place to go to play some pool or get silly with friends. When I visited this past summer they were doing social distancing right and not allowing patrons to leave their tables without a mask and bartenders came to you to take your order.

Great Athens bar with delicious food. I was here with a large group of work colleagues while I Athens for a conference and we had a blast! The liquor pitchers were popular with our group.

As a Ravens fan, it's incredibly difficult for me to step foot in a Steelers bar. I prefer to pretend there isn't black and yellow all over the walls as I sip my liquor pitcher and eat my amazing cheese sticks. I love that Lucky's cheese sticks are beyond basic mozzarella sticks. If you come here to drink, take some time to explore the wall of shots.

Doughy cheese sticks. Feel good but the sauce is key. Great beer prices. Homey feel. Nice people work here and drinking here.

Try their cheese sticks. They are a few inches long with good girth to them. When you put them in your mouth their cheesy goodness explodes down your throat leaving you with a satisfied feeling. Also the barstaff is phenomenal. Brandon is a modern day sex symbol. Tho their is a bartender who will not be named who forgets the name of a fairly frequent customer. I'm not jealous tho that they remembered every other regulars name, not at all.

Yeah man, strong drinks, cool atmosphere, if you want good pool tables luckys probably has the best pool tables in town. liquor pitcher night is always a blast. and you wont run into any stuck up idiots here, unless they are doing a shuffle in which case they dont stay too long. Totally worth the time to stop and drink. you'll fall in love.

One of my favorite bars to visit when I return to visit OU! Plenty of seating and shot/drink specials posted as well as a handful of draft beers available. If you are a student, you should definitely join their Mug Club! Always recommend having a Lucky's Lemonade and their cheese sticks: two of my favorite Court Street treats!
