We have been coming here a few times a week for the last couple of years - great ice and nice staff. I normally judge a hockey rink on their ice smoothness and the stock of their concession stands - so this place is pretty great. How can you go wrong with a $1 cup of noodles?? Every game we have been to has always been on time and the staff ensures that the scheduled games are kept on track. The locker rooms are also fairly kept up with and you can always see someone cleaning up to ensure it's nice and tidy.

Check out their website for public skate times, they are convenient and offered regularly throughout the week and weekend. The rink is well maintained and large; music is played, general pop music and dance tunes are the usual choices. If you are an active person with the winter blues, this is the place to come out and get in some fun physical activity.

Very nice rink. Huge parking space. Area to watch game in bleachers or in the warm sit down area on other side of glass. Pro shop open late and nicely stocked. Concession stand has many options. Rink in great condition (recently remodeled). Nice big scoreboards on both ends.

Inexperienced, inattentive skating instructors. We signed our 3 year old up for the Tot 1 Learn to Skate program. He got ice skates for Christmas and was so excited to go. At the beginning of the lesson, the instructor asked who had been skating before and only one child raised his hand. Despite being aware of the fact that no other kids had ever set foot on ice, the instructor provided zero assistance. It was a disaster. When it was time to get on the ice (after demonstrating on ground the proper way to stand up after falling) she just waved them on and paid no attention, looking down to the other side of the rink. She did not help them one at a time as you would expect. My 3 year did as instructed, stepped onto the ice, and immediately fell really hard. You should help a three year old who has never been on the ice by holding his hand and helping him get to the wall. Frankly, it's just common sense. He was crying because he fell but the instructor ignored him; she didn't help him up or help him to the wall. He eventually crawled over to the wall. He tried to stand up, again with no assistance, and immediately fell hard for the second time. The instructor didn't help him up this time either and completely ignored him while he sat there hysterical. I finally went over and helped him up (he was right where you enter the ice) and showed him how to hold the wall. He was still crying but I walked away hoping the instructor would take control of the situation but she continued to completely ignore him as he cried. Several of the other kids in the class were having the same experience and despite that, she then instructed them to skate to the other side of the rink, again with no assistance. They couldn't even stand up. At that point, I removed him from the class. He cried the entire way home saying no one would help him or hold his hand and that he doesn't ever want to go ice skating again.I would strongly recommend going somewhere else for lessons if your child is a young and/or inexperienced skater. It was just really sad that they ruined skating for him. He was so excited and now he's terrified. :-(
