Probably one of the beets Italian restaurants in town. We've regular customers since the first time we found this place a year ago. The sampler platter (lasagna, Eggplant Parmesan, Meatball) is to DDT's for. Best marinara and pasta sauce I've ever tasted. Although the restaurant is quite small, and wait times could be long, it's well worth the wait. Love this place and the staff.

A few years ago we decided to take our family to Lola and Giuseppe's for a Christmas dinner. It was the most wonderful experience! The place is all atmosphere bustling with servers and clanging in the kitchen. The noise can be a bit intense so if you have children bothered by too much noise that may be a concern. We decided to return to L&G's for my birthday recently after not having been back for awhile. The menu had changed quite a bit, but I remained hopeful. I also noticed that there were now bathrooms in the dining area, and previously you had to walk through the kitchen to get to a restroom. I have to admit I kind of liked taking a look back there and having a good excuse to do so. So cut to present, and the food. We ordered the Pera Noce Salad to start. It was one of the best salads I've ever had. The caramelized pears were delicious and slightly sweet and went perfectly with the port wine vinaigrette. Honestly the salad I would return for any day. I ordered the Rosa cream pasta for my entree. It was very good, but there wasn't much that was exciting about it. It was a well prepared dish, but just didn't have a wow factor. I would definitely go back and try another pasta dish and order the salad again. I do have to point out one thing I found odd. It seemed that they were serving frozen garlic bread. I am no chef, but it seems odd to me. In a place that has built its reputation on delicious freshly made from scratch dishes I feel like there should be a scratch made fresh bread. But I am a sucker for good bread. Other than that I have to say this place is wonderful! Some things to keep in mind if you plan to go are the noise factor, and the very cozy accommodations. It's small guys! But good news...In summer months they do have patio seating!

Lola's is pretty good. Not getting the full five star rave because it doesn't really stand out. Still, for a catered office lunch Lola's get the full five stars for being a safe bet.The good thing about Lola's is the variety. In an office of vegetarian's Lola's pleases the herbivores and carnivores alike. The rigatoni is luscious and sinful. It can be hard to taste the noodles and meat under all that delicious cheese. The Alfredo is slightly spicy, and meatless, although it is chicken stock based so true vegetarians beware! The salad and bread are real standouts. I am always impressed that neither arrives the least bit soggy. The salad is made zesty by its tasty dressing, and the red peppers are always crisp. The bread is crunchy and garlic-y which is what all good garlic bread should strive to be. One could easily make a meal out of the salad and bread alone. The price of a catered Lola' s lunch is one that will make even the tightest fisted office manager smile. The portions are good enough sized that we always have left overs. Lola's is great Italian fare in that it can please everyone.

Wife and I just had dinner here tonight with our 2 college aged boys and my father-in-law. This is the best small Italian restaurant in Columbus. Food is incredible. Our waitress, Sandy was friendly and attentive. Great for date night or a bigger group. We will be back often.
