I was looking forward to visiting this place since I liked the restaurant and thought I'd try their tiramisu. Unfortunately, all the pieces looked small and deflated for the price of about $8. It was a weekday, so maybe that was why their selection was slim. The shop itself is small and the parking lot is cramped. The employees were attentive but looked bored.

Grabbing cookies. They have the best tiny fig cookies. They almost taste like they have a tiny bit of anise in them. Mmmmmmmm. Today they had so many cakes and brownie selections. All looked amazing. As we came in two other couples popped in too. For a tiny little bakery its pretty popular! Come try it! Mmmmmmm. So good!

Just a couple doors over from the restaurant, Lola and Giuseppe's now has a bakery. In the former Buckeye Candy slot (they moved down the road to the former Swan's building,) it has all the usual suspects for an Italian bakery, plus will be adding more. They have coffee right now, but will be adding an espresso machine. I wanted one of everything, but limited myself to an assortment of cookies. Wedding cookies, amaretti, butter cookies, thumbprints. I am already regretting passing up the peanut butter chocolate chip ones that looked really good. They also had cheesecake, tiramisu, fudge, and more. I literally said "OMG" when I tasted the first one, an amaretto. Soft, flavorful, perfect almond cookie. The thumbprints are big and fresh and flavorful. I have not tried the others but I'm sure they're just as good.Service was friendly and fast. Prices are good. Parking is easy, though it is a little lot so be careful in Gahanna rush hour traffic. There are a few tables inside, but I figure most of the traffic will be carryout.

Best Cannoli I've ever had. I prefer the Pistachio. The Carrot cake and Hummingbird cake are amazing too. I'm sure everything else is great and I would look forward to trying more things but I just can't get past that Cannoli!

I popped in one day looking for a dessert to take to a friends cottage for a weekend trip. Their cannolis are so delicious so I asked about taking some with me. She said they are best to have fresh and offered to pack the cannolis so that I could put them together when we were ready to eat them. They were so nice to do this and really went out of their way for me, that type of service can be hard to find these days! They also have a nice selection of cookies, cakes, pies and other yummy treats! I would highly recommend this bakery and you'd be supporting a local business as well!
