Local cantina is probably my favorite restaurant to get tacos and queso. Is it the authentic version? No, definitely not but it is pretty good. My favorite margarita is the Mustache Ride which is discounted during happy hour. I also am a fan of the blood orange margarita. If you go here, you must get the Queso that comes with Melted cheese / jalapeños / onions. It's by far the best Queso you can get in Columbus. For tacos, my favorite is the Tempura Shrimp with Fried / lettuce / queso fresco / sweet chili. Get one of them weezy styled which is Soft flour & hard corn shells / Queso & guac. For this particular visit, I did not get anything to eat. The restaurant in the Trolley district is gorgeous and there's a trolley outside that you can eat in. Definitely need to come back soon

Solid taco Tues spot. Family friendly. Mostly easy parking. The outdoor patio is fun and pet friendly. It features an authentic vintage trolley that you can eat on. What more could delight your children? There's a decent vegetarian and pescatarian taco selection that is available for taco Tuesdays

Fun atmosphere, great drinks, but sadly slow service. Nice bartender but absolutely moved at a snail pace. Had to order my food twice because it never came. When it did, though, it was good. The outdoor space is cool but the tables were left dirty for a really long time. Not a great look.

We went today and it has been awhile.....Sarah and Sydney are no longer managing it together...We waited like 15 mins to get drinks. The food was not as good. The atmosphere went from an energetic feeling to a blah.....The check was messed up a few times which they fixed. Overall it was not what it used to be.....The bar tenders weren't as smiley the door wasn't open to let air circulate....just the whole vibe is off.....We went around 4:30 and it was dead for a taco tues.PLEASE SEND THE LADIES BACK!IDK if we will return now or not

We went on a weeknight and there weren't that many people inside. Once we entered the restaurant, we waited by the host stand for about 10 minutes. The only person we see that is working is a lady behind the bar. She saw that we are standing at the host stand but did not say anything to us. Just ignored us. After about 10 minutes I went to the back to speak to the lady behind the bar to see if they were providing any service in the restaurant. I was about to leave by this point. However, soon as I went to the back, another women came out of the kitchen and told us to have a seat anywhere we like, she was the server and the host. Our server was really sweet and explained the menu to us and gave us recommendation. We ordered the Chicken Tinga, Birria toca and the Carne Asada taco. We also ordered the Chicken Nachos that came with street corn from the kids menu. I did not like the Birria toco at all. Part of the taco was burnt and it was just very greasy. The Carne Asada taco was good. But the Chicken Tinga was the best! Very flavorful. I could eat that again and again. As per the chicken nachos, it was really good. It's a big portion for being a kids meal and the corn that came with the meal was really good. We also got the margarita, which was good, but it tasted more like a lemonade then a margarita. Very disappointing since I didn't order a lemonade but a margarita. Food here is decent but the service is very poor!

Being from across town, and having been to other LCs around town, we were excited to check out this location. Upon arrival, one thing we immediately noticed was that there were no visible signs of the restaurant outside (at least from the parking lot), and even as we entered, we didn't actually see a "Local Cantina" sign until after we were seated. There was nobody at the host station, though, and we waited several minutes before we saw a restaurant staff, Sid. Sid was having to take care of hostess duty and server duty of the entire restaurant. While she was doing an amazing job at both, it was quite unfortunate on part of the management to not staff the restaurant appropriately, and particularly during happy hour. Once we were seated, Sid took great care of us. She was patient with explaining the menu, all the while having to take care of all the tables and also greeting and seating new guests. We ordered a few different things - house margarita, a Chicken Tinga taco, a Carne Asada taco, a Birria taco, Chicken Nachos from the kids' menu, and a Chicken Chimichanga. The Chicken Nachos come with a side, and we picked the Street Corn. Aside from the birria taco, which was super greasy, everything was delicious. The kids' chicken nacho was also a decent portion size. To complement all of this food, the unlimited chips and salsa station was a nice touch. Overall, good food and good service. However, management/ownership needs to support their employees and staff this location appropriately.

The food was ok. You don't get chips when you are seated. Well at least we didn't. Bathrooms are clean. The atmosphere and decor is very nice. Both indoors and outdoors are nice. Service is very good. You don't get rice and beans with your burritos. It was just ok.

First visit to this Local Cantina and will be back. Love that it is in the Trolley District along side the East Marketing. I really had no idea it was back there as I primarily to into the East Market main building but saw this on yelp and decided to give it a try. Pros: good service (really nice server), other staff helps out when busy, delicious food with good options, great location and the decor was fun and festive. Plenty available free parking in the area.Cons: missed the five star mark due to slowness of our server and that another employee grabbed our cards for processing. We sat there a while after we ate waiting for our server. Slacking on the drink refills. Also scrap chips for the longest time in the self serve chip bar.Food: We started with Chips & Salsa, + Queso ($8).I ordered three soft tacos: --Bánh mì ($5) - Al pastor, pickled veggies, cucumber, cilantro, with a spicy aioli. --Nashville hot chicken ($5) - fried chicken strips, a chipotle lime ranch & slaw with dill pickles. --An Americano ($4.50 + $1.50, Weezy Style) - with ground beef, lettuce, cheese, pico, & sour cream. The up-charge Weezy Style was so worth it and made the Americano my favorite as it was both a soft flour & a hard corn shell with queso & guac between the shells. My partner has the Chimichanga ($12) - shreeded chicken, refried beans, shredded cheese , deep fried with queso, chimchurri, and lettuce, pico, and sour cream on the side. This location is about 1 1/2 from me and is closer than the Short North restaurant. The ease of parking and the vibe of this location definitely makes it a preferable option. Will be back and next time I am going with the Chicken Chimichanga.

I've been here a number of times now and honestly management needs to figure out how to get more patrons in for such a big and wonderful space. Before it hasn't been too bad though short staffed. The new server just told me the reasons the restroom is without toilet paper is bc the managers are busy and it's not legal for him to go into the women's restroom to set up toilet paper. Which is absurd. He took down our orders at the beginning and still had to come back and take them again for us to pay. He said it was just him alone. So management, where are you? How are you not stepping up to be here when there's a new guy?
