Local Cantina - Grandview

Used them for catering for an event last minute for 18 people. The manager worked with me to create a wonderful taco spread that kept everyone happy. It was fresh, well-packed and made it to location hot and ready. Guests loved it.

Local Cantina's menu is fresh and creative. I love that the chips and salsa bar is self serve. This location is tucked away off the main drive in a small shopping plaza. It was not very busy when we arrived for lunch on a Saturday. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken taco - which was not very hot - and the Hong Kong Phooey - which was quite hot, sweet and delicious. Both tacos were good sized with plenty of chicken. We will definitely return.

Have been here several times in the past and had good experiences. Picked up take out last night however and was very underwhelmed. Seems like the changed the menu somewhat the tempura shrimp was more fried batter then shrimp and the burria taco don't come with birria sauce like in the past but was just super spicy. They also started charging for chips and salsa which is pretty annoying; it was always nice being able to much on those before our food came out and have a few drinks so we weren't pressured to order right away. Probably will not be returning here in the future.

Stopped here for lunch. Love the self service salsa and chips. We had the grilled fish and steak tacos. Perfect size and great flavor. Good vibe and plenty of TVs Very affordable drinks and tequilas

Came here on a Tuesday around 6pm! Parking can be a little challenging here because spots can fill up fast and some areas you need to pay. My friends got there earlier and had to wait ~15 minutes for a table. The chips and salsa are unlimited and self serve which is nice. They have a great deal on tacos on Tuesday! Each regular taco is $2.22! Such a steal! I got 3 tacos and that was filling. The tacos were so average but a great deal. The tacos were very filling! The ingredients were a little cold and the tortillas were a bit stiff. I am not sure I would come on any day other than Tuesday but a great Tuesday deal! Waitress was nice and attentive.

Pretty good service - we went for happy hour and taco Tuesday!! All tacos are $2.25 what a great deal. I loved there shrimp tacos and the Mac attack taco. It's cool they have a bunch of different toppings, would come again! Also parking is a plus!

How much food should an $11 bowl get you? To me the term bowl indicates that the contents of it should reach near the top. For example, what comes to mind when someone is selling a bowl of soup? Now think of a cup of soup, two different amounts come to mind right? So please tell me, for $11, did I get a bowl or a cup! Look at the pic I posted. I know that the Pandemic has had a negative impact on the food industry, I get that. But please charge me $13 for a bowl in you have to. Just make sure you put a bowls worth of food in there. I still encourage folks to eat at Local Cantina but I've had three different bowls here and they were all lacking...food.

I love some queso and local cantina does it well. I saw they had a special strange times menu out and wanted to give it a try. The strange times menu has fries, burger, wings, chicken sandwich, etc. I got the queso burger and side of queso fries. The burger was a pretty good size. I got all the toppings but the jalapeños didn't do anything for me so I took those off. The bun wasn't my favorite, but the rest was pretty standard cheese burger. Not sure I would order again.The queso fries were just a small side of shoe string fries that were a tad greasy but good, and the usual queso on the side. It was about half the amount of queso you get for a normal chips and queso. I thought it was a really tasty combo! I also got the free chips and salsa and was able to use the chips for the queso I had leftover.They have set up special area for takeout at the bar since the pandemic and that has been great usually. However this time around it seemed like the takeout area had shrunk and was like about 2 feet wide? And people sit on either side separate by plexi glass. Thankfully it wasn't busy so I didn't have to wait long or stand in that small area because I was helped right away.

Can I just say how amazing the employees that worked they are for my last review they were so friendly and helpful and gave me a $15 gift card for the inconvenience so pleased today I went to use the gift card because I figured I'd get some chips and salsa for a party. I'm having When I asked the guy behind the bar. and told him the situation he had a very nasty attitude and when the manager came out, he changed it. I told him I was going to have seven people so he was like do you want seven chip seven salsa? I said yes when I didn't have enough for that, he said I can only make it out to six. I was like that's fine no big deal. I just want to use the gift card, but his altitude wasn't very friendly or polite. Everyone else in that place was very friendly very helpful and very understanding I think he needs to work on his customer service.
