Local Cantina - Clintonville

Didn't really care for mushroom quesadilla. Chips, guacamole, queso and salsa were delicious as usual! Morgan took GREAT care of us. I really appreciate the excellent service! Thank You!

Delicious drinks, great food. Get the street corn if you're up to it.The only thing I would change is the refried beans. They're thick and too dry.

OK, I'm not going to recommend Local Cantina for the "Most Authentic Tacos" award (is that a thing?), but if you want margaritas, chips, and some fun stuff in a taco shell, give them a whirl. I think the appetizer section of the menu is intriguing - street corn, queso fries, and the usual TexMex kind of fare. We went with chips and queso, and plenty of it! The queso is a generous serving and it was pretty good. I think they have some fun cocktails, but we went with classic margaritas, which were cold, lime'y and salty, so hit the spot. I didn't realize, but they use Simple Times Mixers, which is awesome. I went with tacos, and while they are not authentic, they have a good variety. I particularly appreciate that they have several vegetarian options. I went with the Farmer's Market and the Migas, both of which feature refried beans and guacamole. They were both very good. The Migas ended up kind of falling apart due to the beans and guac in the soft shell so I ate it with a fork. Clintonville/High Street parking, so depending on how busy they are, you might have to walk a minute. They do have patio seating, and sometimes roll up the big garage doors. It's a fun atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. For sure worth a visit for a laid back taco experience!

Wow! This place is a really good option if you're looking for some high quality T-Mex in the Columbus area. The service is always top notch an I can always count on eating some delicious food. While I would consider it to have a bar feel it's still kid friendly. Highly recommend the Local Cantina restaurants!

Excellent fast service and good food with free self serve chips and salsa for dine in. Katrina was great, welcoming and laid back, as server, and Kristin, supervisor, was very accommodating when I found out they don't take payment by iPhone. I walked home and gave info over the phone and added a nice tip because it simply felt so nice to have such a complete and delightful dining experience.

Okay, so this is not "muy authentico tacos." Go to Los Gauchos for those. This is "non-douche hipster white people tacos."Chicken teriyaki. Nashville hot chicken tacos. BLT tacos (pre-covid). Standard gringo tacos. I mean, I think they had carne asada as well, but when I saw "chicken teriyaki" and "hot chicken" I already committed to non-taco standards. Their guacamole is decent. Same with their queso and their chips (formerly serve yourself, now, brought to you). The nice weather meant they had their garage doors open, plenty of airflow, employees wiping down the few tables they've kept, masks on. Super friendly staff. And while I was mindlessly playing Pokémon go and pouring a beer one handed, a staff member ran over to assist (to stop the "all head" beer pour that was happening). In the past, I've come for margaritas and chips. I've done tacos of varying kinds (the soft/hard shell combo- yeezy? Wheezy? Is solid). The service has damn near always been good. I'm taking a chance during covid, I was still pretty happy with their behavior, the quality of the food, and the staff being awesome!

The food is good and the portions that they give you are nice and big. The music is a little loud but I love music so it doesn't bother me because I love the music they play!

On Tuesdays from 3-6, Local Cantina can't be beat. During this time they offer happy hour ($3 drafts) and $2 tacos. The deal is unbelievable!You also have access to unlimited chips and salsa so if chips and cheap booze are what you're after, you'll be happy. The chips are always fresh and the salsa has the perfect amount of spice. I had the grilled fish, chicken tinga and carne asada tacos. They were all delicious! The meat was tender and the vegetables were fresh!Service was fast and friendly and I highly recommend Local Cantina during happy hour and on Taco Tuesday.

I'm so sad they have changed things on the menu. Used to love getting the some of the tacos with pulled chicken and now it's fried. I feel like every year they change parts of the menu that I love. The tables are also sticky and the minutes are usually dirty with food and salsa.

Ive been coming here every Tuesday for almost 2 years and it's outrageous that the Nashville hot chicken are now taken off the $2 list. I remember the good when the Mac attack and the nashville were both on the list. This place is going down hill please fix this, I want to come back.
