Tried something new before heading to zoo lights. Really cool decode inside with plenty of seating. Great parking area out back! Service was good, it wasn't too crowded for a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the fish and chips. Not too bad, I'm not a slaw fan so I opted for the Mac n cheese. Fish was good, breading was thicker than I normally like. Fries were of the shoestring variety, petite and crisp, left me wanting more, Mac n cheese fell short for me. It was a tad bland, and could have used additional cheese. Nothing to write home about.

I was not impressed with our visit to Liberty Tavern. We were seated right away on a Saturday evening as we had a reservation. The menu isn't large but there's a variety of options. I wasn't particularly hungry so I ordered a cup of their clam chowder (labeled as a "Liberty favorite") and a side of Parmesan risotto. Unfortunately, I didn't really care for either of them. The chowder was watery, not creamy, so the flavor wasn't very strong. My risotto had crunchy bites and also wasn't creamy as I'd had hoped. I did order the Lady Liberty cocktail, which was tasty. Sort like a margarita and add champagne. My group was also not impressed, their burger and chicken sandwich was "just okay" as they said. Our service was good overall but slow on refills. I don't know that I'll return when there's other great dining options available.

Located in downtown Powell, this is a nice place to grab a bite to eat. We were able to easily make a reservation for a Saturday night with little notice. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a large garage door that opens to allow for a nice amount of fresh air even while sitting inside. We decided on the clam chowder, which was nice and the Cesar salad. We also split the smash burger which had wonderful flavor. Service was great and it was an enjoyable dinner overall.

I love Liberty Tavern! Such amazing food! There is a parking lot right behind to park in. Kinda hard to find..I feel like their location kills them a bit. I would be advertising this place so much more with the awesome experiences I have had. The staff is kind, so helpful. I would come here for a date night, with the fam, a work party, honestly anything. I have had their apps, burgers, brunch. They know how to make a girl happy. Keep up the good work Liberty!! I will have to try out their new location on Polaris!

I stopped by recently after having been here off and on over the years and... it was disappointing.First and foremost - service was top notch. They've removed all character from the walls, so it's all pretty much flat, still have the liberty bell, though. It was post lunch, pre-happy hour crowd, so it was VERY slow inside, and the food came out fast but... I wish they would've slowed down a little. The burger I ordered? Blackened. Not like - seasoned - but burned on the outside, while juicy on the inside. My date had a Caesar salad, add chicken - which ALSO appeared blackened - from burnt char on the grill, not seasoning....that's extremely disappointing from a food standpoint - especially if they're going to charge $15 for that hockey puck of a burger and $4 for the grill burnt bit chicken. The garlic aioli was NOT worth it.So it's not worth one star - service was good, and clearly they CAN do better with their food, and we have history... but it does knock it back down to the "...remember when we went there and the food was not worth the price? Yeah, let's hit up one of the several other establishments in walking area."I'll keep an eye on you, Liberty, but it'll be a while before I decide to pop back in for a burger here.

UPDATE - Hadn't been here for years but was in the neighborhood so we stopped by for dinner. The menu has changed a bit but the food is still pretty good. Not amazing but solid. We ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and the Pretzel Reuben. The food was solid but the Brussel sprouts accompaniment to the fried chicken was surprisingly good. Good service, sports bar ambience. Parking available in the little area it's located in. Recommend.

Waited twenty plus minutes to get food ordered. Waiters walked by and completely ignored us. Definitely not a good experience.

So, stop waiting until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until winter, until your song comes on, until you've had a drink.... there is no better time than right now to be happy.

Appetizers are very small for the price. Our cheese balls were hollow and the pretzels were a very small serving. My PB and jelly burger had very little PB.It used to be good.

I went in on a Saturday and the atmosphere is pretty chill down. They have quite a few bar seating and surrounded with a couples TVs. They do offer brunch during the weekend. Everyone working in here is extremely friendly, including my server. I got the Tips and Eggs from their brunch menu and ended with the Bavarian Cream Puff. For the Tips and Eggs, love my plate topped with the two sunny side up. The grilled filet tips are on the edge of over done, but still maintain some tenderness to it. And the same case to the fried potatoes. The Bavarian Cream Puff is slightly different than what I used to. The cream is definitely thicker than the one in the regular cream puff. And it infused with a strong vanilla flavor and taste pretty smooth. It almost taste a like a puff with ice cream.
