Writing an update because I recently wanted to make a special type of broth that required chicken feet, or patitas de pollo. Where else could I head to but Las Maravillas? The butcher in the back of the store was very helpful and wrapped them up fresh for me. My broth turned out delicious! I'm not sure where else in the area that I could find such a specific specialty item, but Las Maravillas had my back, as always. I even walked out with fresh jamaica juice that did not disappoint. I'm not sure of anywhere else locally that I could find that either, though it's not something they have every day and they often run out of these types of fresh juices toward the end of the day. I'll keep coming back to this place no matter what, but keep in mind that they are not open on Sundays.

Los Maravillas is a very nice little Mexican grocery. It's right next-door to Los Primos taco truck - my favorite taco truck in the city. The grocery has lots of Mexican staples, and they usually have specials - either tamales, or Horchata, or Mexican corn, or mango with Cayenne pepper. All are delicious.I always feel welcome, and the folks here are very nice.Great place, especially if you're already there getting some delicious tacos at Los Primos.

Yes there's Junior Tacos, yes there's Condados and yes I know they're all on the same block. If you want authentic tamales and tacos for a reasonable price, you want to go to this place. There is a Mexican. Market attached to it where you pay if you are using a card. The inside portion has a wide variety of Mexican sodas, tortillas and treats which I love. Everyone there is very kind and welcoming.Life hack: give them a call and order before you head over there since it might be a little bit of a wait during peak lunch times. I recommend the chicken as well as the chorizo tacos with a side of tamales. My fiance' buys the tamales in bulk and eats them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner because they're so good. As you can see even my cat thinks it looks good.

I recently moved to Columbus from California & of Mexican decent so my expectations are high but I have to consistently remind myself I'm not in California anymore. I found this market on yelp & it was close to where I live. The market is very small. Didn't find the chorizo I wanted but overall it had the Mexican essentials. I did not try the food truck but I will be going back soon to do so.

This place is straight out of a Beck video, which is exactly why I love it. Well, that and the fact that it's 20 feet out my back door, of course. Either way, if it's a taste of east L.A. that you're looking for, look no further than the Las Maravillas Market, situated handily near the corner of 5th and Neil. Serving as an anchor for the vibrant Mexican community that calls the area bounded by High, Neil, 10th and 5th, Las Maravillas offers a splendidly tacky array of truly authentic Mexican groceries at prices that are as good as they come. The outside window of the store is gaudy and is covered with used car ads and signs boasting cut-rate Hispanic calling cards, but that's expected and easily ignored. Inside, the cooler offers a respectable selection of beer that's ample for a pre-party beer run before a night out on the town. As you'd expect, brands like Tecate, Corona, and Dos Equis are given preference over domestic and import beer from other countries, which is forgivable given that Viking Premium Beverage (another neighborhood favorite) is only two short blocks away. They also carry some obscure selections that consist of things like Bud Light, clam juice, and Tabasco. I'm still waiting for this to catch on in Columbus, which might take a while. For such a dinky store, the selection of Mexican food items here is beyond impressive. Truth be told, I'll never know the function of 70% of the things they have for sale here, but if you're in the market for a gigundo bag of tortilla chips, this should be your first stop. What left my head scratching, however, was the absence of any sort of salsa when I dropped in to pick up some appetizers for a 4th of July cookout. Perhaps I didn't look hard enough, but if there's one thing a place like this should have an entire section of, that thing is salsa. In true Mexican-American tradition, Las Maravillas also boasts a trailer out back that grills up some of the best tacos and burritos that you'll find in the neighborhood. The regular tacos are inexpensive at around 1.50 a piece, but they're not substantial enough to add up to much of a meal even if you buy three at a time. I'd skip everything else and go straight for the steak burrito, which may require you to brush up on your Spanish skills when you attempt to order one. The burritos are large, filling, moderately priced, and (from what I know) 100% e-coli free. Oh yeah, the things are pretty darn tasty, as well. It's certain that you've driven by Las Maravillas a million times and have passed on it based on it's shifty appearance, but like many of the sketchier looking places in the immediate vicinity of downtown Columbus, giving the place a chance will yield a very pleasant surprise.

What a great little Mexican delight!Let me start out by saying that I am not into "one-stop shopping". I travel all over Columbus to find exactly what I'm looking for. And Las Maravillas has just filled the Mexican-sized void in my life. This is a tiny little place in Vic Village/Uni District, and it's really easy to pass it! The owner is incredibly sweet and does a fantastic job of explaining things to me in his native Spanish - and somehow both of our messages get delivered just fine. Las Maravillas is not "one-stop shopping", but they definitely have some great products that are hard to find! Here's what I love:* Mexican Coke! (with real sugar!)* Tortilla Flour (for homemade tortillas, natch)* Real Mexican chorizo! (for the breakfast tacos)

I was so happy to find that someone had already written a review for this place. I first went here with a friend who'd spent a few months in Mexico and was missing it (and the food) badly. Don't be scared! Go in and look around, they're used to nervous-looking Columbusites awkwardly floating around outside the store and taco stand, lured by the bright colors and tasty smells. Do yourself a favor and try anything from the taco stand. It will be delicious, cheap, and much more authentic than Don Pablos, I promise. While you're at it buy a Jarritos soda from inside.

Las Maravillas, for anyone who's been to Mexico, is an OXXO-style little-bit-of-everything kind of market for all things mexican. The place is not a destination, however. It smells a bit funky, the small selection of produce may look like it's 2 weeks old and the carnicería on the back seems pulled from a Cronenberg movie. Also, if you're looking for more selection and better prices, I'd recommend "La Michoacana" on Morse Rd. But, if you're around or live in the neighborhood and are short of fresh tortillas and maybe some cotija cheese, it's worth checking out. And once you're there, try the tamales from the taco truck... they're heavenly.

Food coma.Effing delicious burritos. Cheap and delicious. From the side of a truck! Need I say more?(They have lots of other food too - but I've been on a burrito kick so forgive me. I will venture out, I swear... or maybe not. The burritos are $6 and they are so finger licking delicious, why mess up a good thing.)

Best taco for both the value and the taste. The pork is my favorite but the AL Pastor is also awesome. Friendly staff makes it worth the wait.
