Larry's Pizza and Wings

I have driven through Mount Sterling many times. Always wanted to try Larry's Pizza. Got one tonight. If I could rate them a ZERO I would. Hope I make it to morning without a stomachache & a trip to the hospital! Worst pizza I have had in YEARS!!! I know pizza, I worked at 3 pizza places making pizzas. This pizza had a doughy undercooked crust. No taste to the sauce. I tried to jazz it up with pizza seasoning & parmesan cheese. NO DICE! Tried baking it for 1/2 an hour. Choked down some of it as I had not eaten all day. Now my stomach hurts. There is most of it left. Guess I'll take it down to the wetlands & give it to the raccoons & opossums. Wait! Better not! It would KILL THEM... AND!!! I was charged almost $18.00 for a $16.50 takeout pizza. CROOKS as well!!!

Unfortunately this was a poor experience. While at Deer Creek State Park, we needed to order some take out for the family because a storm blew through and ruined the cookout chances. It's important to note that because I assume they may have been overwhelmed with calls. Ordered a couple of pizzas and two dozen wings. Over $50 but it's a lot of food. Was told it would be an hour for delivery. Called to check on order after an hour to make sure I wasn't suppose you meet at Lodge and was told it was on the way with driver and coming to cabin. Called at 90 minutes and was told the food was held waiting for a driver. Requested to make sure food was warm. Called back at 2 hours. Was told food was on it's way; for real this time. Assured it would be warm. Food eventually arrived after two hours. Driver was very nice and apologetic. Food was room temperature. Driver apologized, said there were call offs, and acknowledged the food was not warm. He suggested I call the manager. Called when the family got ready to eat. Person indicated two women went home sick so that was delay. Expressed concern if it was ok to eat the food but woman say it was non COVID, just overheated. They offered to resend pizza but that was not an option for the family as it approached 8:30 and couldn't risk another two hours. Left my name and number but no response. Pizza was hard, cool, and dried out. It may have been good warm so not sure that's a fair assessment. Small square cut. Parmesan garlic wings were cold but great flavor. Buffalo wings didn't have sauce, maybe a dry rub? Cold, no flavor, and dry. Most of this ended in the trash. I would not recommend this place for anyone camping at the park. It's a disappointment.

A lively little local hole in the wall (literally there was a hole in one of the walls) pizza place in Mt. Sterling. The joint had a steady stream of customers the entire time we were there. The pizza is thin crust and a bit greasy but good. Their garlic cheese bread is tasty. Their wings are messy and delicious. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. Larry's offers a juke box, racing game, shooting game, and claw machine. They have a single tv that was playing a basketball game. The staff is friendly. They have plenty of seats to eat inside the restaurant however I noticed a lot of people took their pizzas to go. Larry's is a fun typical small town pizza place. Nothing special but still fun to try out.

While staying at the local lodge we decided to take a night and eat locally. Larry's came up and looked the the kind of small town pizza shop we were looking for. We arrived and found it to be a very welcoming place and was filled to near capacity. We were immediately greeted from the kitchen by a very friendly staff of people. We ended up having a pizza, salad and a couple of beers. Great experience. The pizza was delicious, thin crust, quality ingredients in the cheese and pepperoni. Just enough oil on the top... It wasn't my beloved east coast pizza but it was just as tasty. If we ever come back through the area, we will surely visit Larry's again.

Stopped in to try this pizza shop, as we live in the next town over and wanted to try a local place. So glad we tried it. We got 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 Hawaiian with the cinnamon on top- pizza was really good!! We also got garlic bread, which was honestly so so good! Pizza was ready in 10-15 mins on a busy Friday night so very reasonable wait time. Interior has the checkered floors but looks like it has been updated (looks more updated than some of the other reviews). Lots of seating and good ambiance. It didn't look like there were any photos of the menu or updated inside so we wanted to add a couple. Definitely worth a stop in Mt. Ster

We usually love Larry's but today was a disappointment. We always get veggie subs with no cheese and they are always loaded and perfect with Italian dressing but tonight they lacked! The subs had only onion, green and yellow peppers, olive and mushroom. If they had dressing I didn't taste it. Where were the tomatoes and lettuce?! Thats what makes the sub great! Just wanted someone to know this to check your sub before ya leave!

Pretty okay place. They're consistently pretty okay and the employees are always very nice! I wish the wings were a little crispier when you order them well done.

I don't live in Mt. Sterling but my parents do. Every time I come in town I look forward to Larry's pizza. It has never disappointed for ten plus years. I don't know what else the menu offers as I'm so obsessed with stuffing my face with their pizza when I'm home. Great Ohio pizza!! Satisfies every single time!!

This place is a throwback to the quaint local pizza place that I remember as a kid. Locals come and go greeting each other as they pick up their pizzas or take a seat and order.We love this pizza and have never had a bad one. The crust is perfect in thickness and crispness. Toppings are plentiful and the cheese is stretchy, which love. If you want a great local place with flavorful pizza stop by Larry's.
