Best hamburgers in town. Chili is good too. Great lunch counter with friendly staff. It's a fun place to be a regular. It's size is part of it's charm. Only a few seats. I grab and go.

Can't believe this places is closed. It's one of those places that you hope will be open and operating forever. R.I.P. 2024

The other day I was dying for a good hot dog. Every now and then...I just got to have one...(my favorite food)I went to Larkys one of my favs in Parkersburg area. It was packed as usual. Hard to get street parking, and no parking lot. This is cash only establishment and very small.I was greeted immediately and placed my order to go. I ordered 2 hot dogs with chili, slaw & onions with a can of RC Cola. Paid my $5 putting the assorted coins of change into tip jar. Stood back against wall to wait patiently.The cook is extremely busy on his flat top, flipping burgers and whipping around like a weird dance...he has this to a science...very quick and orderly...you can tell this was not his first rodeo. The room was full of about 12 men, seated at squared counter top on stools laughing and chatting like winded up Chatty Cathy dolls. They were assorted styles of uniforms...policemen, city workers and Suits...everyone loves a good dog and burger!! She put my food into bag to hand me. She smiled and said "I'm sorry but we ran out of slaw'. I have to admit some disappointing news but not a deal breaker. Don't get me wrong, to me it's not a hot dog unless fully dressed with Chili, Slaw & onions...but hey I like Chili Dogs too.Thanked her and left with my brown lunch bag of Hot Steaming Goodness!!! Definitely going back....

Larkys just recently closed permanently. I hate it as this was a great place to grab a dog or burger for lunch.

Perfect hamburger and French fries. No frills. Just old fashioned goodness! I had a double burger. Monday special was hamburger Pattie's with gravy on mashed potatoes. All the locals were getting that. They said it was really good.

One of Parkersburg's best kept secrets that shouldn't be a secret. It isn't much to look at but those are usually the best spots. Food is cheap and simple but it hits the spot every time. Many lunches were had at this little place. There's just something nostalgic about a Larky's cheeseburger and a cup of half n half (sweet/spicy) chili on a cold day.

Permanently Closed Sadly! Great when it was open. Thank you Larry's for your years of great service.

This is the hidden gem of this town! They have awesome food!! Never any problems!!! A+A+
