I grew up in the outskirts of Lancaster and Rockbridge so I've spent a lot of time in Hocking County. I remember as a kid stopping at this store and picking up snacks and food on day trips to Old Man's Cave, Cantwell Cliffs and to visit my childhood friend, and now husband, that lived just up the road from Laine's Store. His parents still live there and Elaine knows us all by name, it's a great small town store that gives you an authentic experience of Hocking County. I drive 45 minutes one way to grab her lunch meats as a treat because they are the best! The white american cheese is my favorite, her roast beef and roast chicken are great as well. Just bring your favorite bread and make a great picnic on the go, or purchase a delicious soup and sandwich made fresh.She's got great candies, treats, snacks, cold sodas in cans and glass bottles. It just a great place to go and I always look forward to it. It's an authentic Amish country store, it's pretty dang cheap too. Highly recommend for locals and visitors a like!

After being in the store for 10-15 minutes and gathering goodies, I was told to leave because I had my tiny 3 lb puppy in his sling. She watched me walk in with him in the sling. They must not really need business

Love the freshness of the food, very tasty, but for the price you get very little food. Half a Sammy and usually a half a bowl of soup is not filling for me. Add coffee and you have a very expensive LITTLE lunch. Even Wendy's fills their soup bowl to the top. I do not go unless I have too, which is rare.

I love this place! Lots of goodies! The deli is fantastic and affordable. Try the bacon cheese! Its yummy! Don't miss this place!

Amazing place and wonderful people they have a great selection of pastries candy jams jellies the deli is definitely the best around always fresh and delicious ingredients whatever you get here

Always good service and quality products. Can be a little busy on weekend as tourists are in town but worth the wait
