This is not a place you want to do the majority of your shopping unless you want rotten produce or you're a home sick Mexican. But there is a lot of cool stuff here. If you ever need any kind of herb, root, spice, or unidentifiable substance for your ethnic cooking, this is one of two places in the area (that I've been to). The other is the Indian grocery across the street. There are countless bags of these types of ingredients in every aisle. There's a full on bakery with all kinds of breads and pastries. There's a full deli and meat department. There's a counter with gifts and cell phones and calling cards and miscellaneous stuff. There's aisles of all kinds of groceries. Everything you need. There's an aisle of beverages that's pretty cool because it's all stuff not sold in this country so you get to try a lot of new things. Like aloe vera juice for instance. The ones I've tried were really good too. But then you turn down the produce aisle and it all goes downhill. The produce hasn't been looked at by any employee in probably a couple weeks. It was like that both times I went in here. There were rotten moldy fruits, black bananas, and the best of it was soft and wrinkled. It's obvious no one has even set foot in that aisle in a long time. Don't they ever think, 'hmm, I haven't ordered any fresh produce in a while and I know I haven't sold a lot. Maybe it's time to order some more?' The place is not terribly clean either and the presentation is sloppy and disorganized. Even the service level is inconsistent. One time we went in there to get a money transfer and a pregnant lady was very nice and helpful. Next time we went in for the same thing and there was a guy in there who had no clue what he was doing and made us jump through a bunch of hoops to do something that was so simple the previous time. All in all I like this place. But the disgusting disgrace in the produce aisle, the inconsistent service, and the sloppiness made me take away a couple stars. Go there for your exotic ingredients and a drink, but don't go down the produce aisle.
