What I would have expected for the area. Had the lunch combo, soup, salad and sandwich . Caesar salad was wonderful. The lobster bisque was the most delicious I have ever had. The Brie on my sandwich was amazing. Chocolate eclair for dessert was to die for. Very small restaurant and super crowded. I loved it though.

Such a fun & delightful option for a midday meal! Tried the 3 course combo-French onion soup ( do not miss the fresh cheese & huge croutons), Caesar salad & turkey sandwich. All were fresh & delicious. Hard to walk past the dessert case on the way out so picked up strawberry fruit tarts as well. Cafeteria style pick up & then tables are in 3 rooms- the rear small room has a fireplace to enjoy as well. Check it out! Great option!!!

For me, Le Chat always delivers as a breakfast or lunch option. Unpopular opinion in my friend group, but I'm not a "full plate" breakfast eater. I prefer a coffee and a carbohydrate source. So I love the cafe au lait and a croissant from here. Since it's a European bakery, the pastries run a little less sweet than at an American style bakery. I like this, but FYI.My most recent visit, we just did coffees and croissants as a lite breakfast before my friend caught a flight. She is not local, so she was charmed. I found it as enjoyable as always. I like the dark wood, wooden tables vibe! I loved my chocolate croissant and cafe au lait with vanilla. They serve lattes in big latte bowls with no handles, so use caution when the thing first comes out! This visit, I did not have lunch, but their Casear salad and brikette are my favorite at lunch time. I enjoy the cafeteria style service, it's laid back and, if you're there off hours, pretty relaxed. Le Chat is a Columbus fav, so during busy hours it's, well, pretty busy!

Go here. The food is superb. My husband and I dined here for breakfast. I am an eggs Benedict connoisseur and they were the best I have ever eaten. The hollandaise was superb. The ham was thinly sliced. The eggs perfectly poached. The brioche light and buttery. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and delicious. Everything tasted made from scratch with fine ingredients. Honestly it felt like we were in France. Highly recommend this family and locally owned restaurant.

Lots of seating. Nice selection of pastries. Had the combo with salad, sandwich and soup. The bread on the sandwich was crusty and good, the salad was fresh and the French onion soup was rich with taste . Staff was friendly - service was quick

In a place known for its pastry game, we opted to go the brunch/lunch route for a recent dine-in experience. Immediately upon walking in, you see the breads, cakes and sweets that make you want to gain 15 pounds at once. Stepping further into the dining room, the place feels classic and intimate, similar to lodge. You order your food in essentially a cafeteria lunch line. The benefit is that you can see the beautiful hot dishes waiting to be added to your trayThe poutine came out hot. Rather than a gravy base, the frites were covered in a bolognese sauce and topped with Swiss cheese. Unique - yes. But overall it tasted like a dish less than the sun of its parts. My wife went for the Eggs Benedict which I sampled. Four star worthy but the little side salad didn't have any dressing and really could have been omitted. I would visit again but likely stick to their popular items.

Stoppped by for Sunday brunch, not quite busy. You basically fall in line, place your order and pick an open table & they bring food to your table. We tried the spinach omelette in egg whites which was the special for the day and escargot. The spinach was as bland as it could possibly be. The Escargot was okay it came with a baguette, just swimming in way too much oil. The french onion soup though was tasty. The hot chocolate was served in a bowl. Latte was decent. The glass display for pastry almost empty and sad, just had a handful of breads. We were hoping for a nice French bakery/pastry experience, not today.

I ordered a birthday cake for my grandson. Everyone was nice at the restaurant but when I served the cake the next day the cake layers were dry. This is not usual for their chocolate cake. In fact, I had a piece of the chocolate cake the day before that my cousin served me at her house. It was perfect. So I was surprised that the cake layers were dry. I ordered it in advance. Maybe they made it too early.

It's very different food for what I'm used to for sure. They can definitely get pricey also. The staff was very friendly and I really appreciated how fast they served our large group.

Loved the warm French country feeling. Arrived at 11 a.m. before the lunch rush. I took my time looking at all the pastries and quiches behind the glass. Staff behind the counter were helpful explaining the different options. I had the spinach and egg in a puffed pastry. Was delicious. My friend has the same delicious lunch every time...the tomato basil soup and Caesar salad. There were many tables inside and on the lovely patio. We sat in the back room which was more private.
