Hidden Gem of Take-out foodMansfield: get away from fastfood take out and try the home-made, flavorful Indian-inspired cuisine tucked into a market on W. 4th Street. The portions are enormous, the dishes are inspiring and prices are very reasonable. The staff was very helpful when explaining each dish and asked questions on my likes and dislikes to offer some dishes I would like. I didn't like....I fell in love. The buttered lamb sent me to heaven!I plan to return to KV Market over and over.

So, the market is nice...but the Indian takeout in the back is the real draw. The Samosas are delicious with a pleasantly spicy mint chutney. We ordered the paneer assuming it would be "ok" as I am not a huge paneer fan...but it was great! (Kinda spicy, which I love) We also had the lamb which was tender and perfectly seasoned. This is a great find.

My first impression was there were sections that seemed a little bare like either they had a run on items (it is the pandemic) or they were waiting to be resupplied. But their steaks were nicely trimmed and they had harder to find items like salt pork and bones and chitterlings (not into that). There were also sausages that appeared to be not encased like brats which had interesting ingredients that I am interested to try on a future trip. It was a larger store than I anticipated. Yet some areas like the meat and deli were much smaller.Very clean but we were there for Punjabi Oven which I will post separately. It is too far away to come regularly but it is not that far from my favorite pizza, Deschlers and my new favorite bakery, Buckeye. So I will return

Cashier forced me to take my 4 lbs. puppy (which I was carrying in my arms) back to my car while it was thunderstorming because I didn't have papers that it was a service animal. Not to mention the place was incredibly dirty. The only thing keeping this place from going under is the great Indian food counter in the back. 1/10 would not recommend the market as a whole though.
