King of Almandi Yemeni Restaurant

I did take out, 6 falafel, large hummus and some garlic toum. Some slight language barrier, but we worked through it. This is the first time I have had toum, it wonderful, garlic whip cream, very garlic so be careful.Hummus is light and airy, great flavor. Large hummus portion is a value! Pita is excellent too.Falafel was cooked perfectly, nice seasoning.Fantastic mom and pop Yemen place, Prices are amazing

This is an unexpecting Yemeni restaurant on broad in an old Popeyes. I absolutely love that detail because you can obviously see the old sign with the new restaurant name placed over it.This is a very casual restaurant with a couple of booths and tables for seating. You can get table service or order up front at the counter. Either way, the staff was very helpful and friendly. I tried the lamb fahsa, gyro pita, and the mixed appetizer. The appetizers were all so great, hummus, baba, and a toum like dip which all went so well with the soft but crisp flatbread they provided. The fahsa was super flavorful and the stone pot was hot enough that it kept cooking and began to create amazing charred pieces of lamb at the bottom. The gyro pita was also just amazing, flavorful gyro meat with fresh, crisp veggies.Definitely a bit of a hidden gem out on the West side but worth the trip. There's a lot more out of the city center if you're willing to explore!

I had never eaten Yemeni food before, so I did some reading about the various dishes this place had on the menu before I went there the other day. I ordered chicken kebsa and and lamb fahsa. I was a bit confused, because what I got for the chicken dish was very much like biryani and that wasn't what I was expecting? Some of the dishes were very similar to what you get from Indian restaurants, but others reminded me more of Middle Eastern food . An interesting mix of flavors.Bottom line is, everything tasted great. I probably should have asked more questions, but overall I was very happy with what I got. (Except the naan - I think it had been prepackaged in the paper bag, and as a result it was pretty dried out. I was able to rehydrate it a bit and it worked out.)

We ordered delivery from here tonight and it was amazing!! Super quick and the food arrived hot and tasted great. This was the best falafel I've ever had and it's my favorite food - so I've eaten A LOT of falafel around Columbus. Prices were great for all the food that we got. We will definitely be getting this again! Highly recommend!!

This place is delicious. Try something different today. I went with my boyfriend, we split two mains and an appetizer for $30. The cashier brought us some free lamb soup samples while we waited. The falafel plate came with lettuce, diced mixed tomato/cucumber, naan, and yogurt sauce. The falafel was cooked well, and spiced delicately. The lamb fahsa was on special, which is a "soup" but it's more of a pulled pork consistency, meant to be eaten on naan. The spices in the fahsa were mild in heat but full of flavor. My boyfriend got hot chili oil on the side for added heat. I think we ordered perfectly by adding the appetizer mixed plate of hummus, buba ghanoush, quinoa, and tomato/ cucumber. Without this plate of freshness the fahsa would have been pretty heavy. We had leftovers.

We have returned!! And it's just as amazing that time!! COME EAT HERE!!! It's awesomeness. This place should be packed!!

No idea why this gets a 4.5 rating. The only this good is the hummus appetizer! The gyro plate and very little to no tzatziki sauce, chicken shwarma was tasteless and Beef kabab was very very dry (microwave or just sitting out all day??)Would not recommend unless you just need a snack of hummus and pita.

What a gem! We got a complimentary lamb soup that was like nothing we'd ever had before. Deep and well-balanced flavors. Sheesh Tawook Sandwich was excellent. The star dish, though, was the lamb agba. One of the very best stews I've ever had. We will be back!

This was my first time up here because work brought me up, and I have to admit the food was amazing and reminded me of my home in New Orleans. The service here reminds me of a food truck style which is funny because their food truck sits behind the store where you are supposed to park. But to be honest the food was excellent and I would recommend the jerk chicken platter with the Sea Moss to drink.
