A longtime favorite of many, I met my daughter for lunch at Katzinger's at 3rd & Livingston yesterday. At 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon the place was packed. More than 40 years and there is no question why it remains popular. Great food, friendly staff, and wonderful service. The sandwiches are delicious and one can feed two people. Get the fudge brownies and take home some chicken salad. My daughter had the #1 and said it was the best Ruben she's ever had. I brought home a pack of bagels for my husband and he loves them. Go! You'll be glad you did.

Stopped in for restaurant week since you really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu here. We tried the Greek salad, rhuben ,hot pastrami and the key lime pie. Everything was delicious and the sandwiches were hot and fresh. We always have a great experience on every visit.

Any sandwich you order, they knock it out of the park! I've been here a few times and each sandwich has been delicious! You don't wait very long maybe 5 minutes after ordering. The place has lots of seating and a cute pickle barrel to eat with your sandwich. Highly recommend!

This is the best deli anywhere in Ohio! My recommendation is the #41 (Phil's Katzingers Club) it's to die for. I try to mix it up every now and again but that is just so good. The redskin potato salad is to die for. I've never had a bad sandwich here. You also gotta load up on the homemade pickles! The staff is always very nice and the vibe of the Restaraunt is very clean. The decorations are really fun and cute and match the vibe of the area. Overall, it's a great place and when it's warmer they have outdoor seating which is a great place to sit and eat with a friend! They also have Vegan, Vegetarian, and Pescatarian Options!

Okay I was supposed to take pictures but by the time I remembered the sandwich was half way done and it would not be a great shot...so is it good...YES. Not too many places can evoke childhood memories and if they had Organina then it would be a wrap. I would be transported to the Jewish deli on my neightborhood block where I would get a Turkey and swiss on sourdough with chips and a NYC seltzer or Organina. The service is great and the ambiance is homey as it should be. There are good choices for those that don't eat meat like me so the Lindey's Come Again, Wross Left His Mark, a Large Greek Side, Fountain drink and Ginger Ale all ran us $53.00. Yet I will say if we didn't plan on that being our only meal of the day then you can logically eat one side of a sandwich and save the rest for later on.

First time here and it was pretty tasty! I got the shot fish sandwhich and matzah ball soup. The bread for both were excellent and so fresh! The sandwich was very tasty and hit the spot. The matzah ball soup was very bland so I wouldn't recommend.Worth the stop if you're in the area and tons of options to pick from!

Used to live in German Village, and we would come here once in awhile; it was kind of expensive for what it was and it was always crowded, so we generally didn't go unless someone was visiting from out of town and had heard about it. Hadn't been in 15-20 years. It's still here, so they're doing something right. It is a local landmark, in the village and in the city. I drive past it almost every day, so had to give it another shot. I went in the early afternoon, after the lunch rush, and there was a long, slow-moving line. The place was crowded and I thought about carrying my food out, but there are extra seats in the back, one of which I was able to snag. Huge menu, all kinds of options, all the classics and some interesting combos. I got a 31, the Belly Buster, which has corned beef and pastrami and slaw, etc. Regular size, which is still a decent sized sandwich, so in this day and age I guess it's not really overpriced. Except that, while it is good, it is not amazing. It is overpriced for the quality. I also snagged a Cajun knish, because of course I had to. It was a good knish; however, there was no Cajun about it at all, except for a hint of red dusted on top. No extra flavor. I passed on the latkes at $5 apiece. They're thick, but holy crap. Not really worth the price. And the pickles? Also good-not-great. Free, which is nice. Maybe I've just been to better delis in the 20 years or so since I was here. I wasn't impressed when I lived nearby, and I'm still not. Try it out, it's not bad, but it doesn't live up to the hype.

CA gal approved! I was excited to stop by this spot on my visit and wow - it did not disappoint. We came in a Wednesday morning so it was empty. A casual, local spot that you can't skip in German Village. We ordered the Katsinger's Reuben with onions. The rye was fresh and toasted to perfection, beef thinly sliced, crunch & acidity from the sauerkraut & creaminess from the sauce + cheese.I usually like more veggies on my sandwich but this was perfect as is. They also offer free pickles which is a nice treat! Can't wait to come back.
