Definitely not a short or lonely dining experience, it's everyone's birthday sometime! Shenanigans abounding, the poor people sitting beside us spilling their life stories, the old man, who's birthday it also was, sitting in silence, hoping to be left alone. Boyfriend laughing catching rice in mouth. Hope you're ready. Not for introverts.

My stomach is turning and I just ate it, my wife and girl was saying that it's not good and there's something wrong with it, but I kept on eating, and they have never complained about sushi or any food before , plus You should give soy sauce with dipping cups and not soy packages and good wasabi not that fake mush, plus the fish inside half the rolls with such a small sliver. I couldn't even see it. I've had medium sushi several times, but this is the first time in a while. I've had bad sushi. I would stay away from now on!.

First time trying sushi and it was delicious here. Hibachi had fresh ingredients and very entertaining how the food was served. The atmosphere was Japanese themed architecture and decor. We went about an hour before they closed and still received great service. Will definitely go back!!

Unlimited parking. Japanese Steakhouses all have a similar form and menu. The ambiance here is understated. The biggest difference and a plus was the lack of the giant, noisy exhaust hoods over the flat cooking surface. The chef did the normal routine of skilled food manipulation and flames. He did try twice to throw rice from the spatula into my mouth, unsuccessfully. He did hit my head each time and it was all in fun. I had chicken and scallops with fried rice. Everything was plentiful, tasty, and stove hot. The meal started with a clear soup, and a salad. The scallops had an egg yoke sauce option which I accepted. They have a full bar and specialty drinks. The staff generally spoke better English than many similar restaurants. If you have someone who's never been to a Japanese Steakhouse, especially kids, this is a satisfying introduction. Nothing extraordinary but clean, well staffed, good quantities of freshly prepared foods in front of you with skill and levity.

Was craving some ramen so I went to kanji for a late night dinner and it didn't disappoint. Our server was wonderful, she was very kind and helpful. The food was delicious and hot as always, I also got the side salad and it was so good. Not a bad thing to say about this restaurant and right now they have there Halloween decor outside for when you walk in which is adorable. Highly recommend!!

Stopped here for lunch today, for the hibachi. I ordered the steak medium rare, fried rice, and salad. The salad arrived with the yumYum dressing topped with bacon bits. I didn't think the yum yum sauce paired very well with the lettuce and bacon. I prefer the onion dressing offered at different restaurants. The chef that cooked our lunch was very friendly. The rice came out perfect and the veggies consisted of onion mushroom carrots and zucchini which were all delicious. My steak was cooked medium, I had asked for mediumRare however it was still very flavorful and delicious. I add yum yum sauce to my whole plate which pairs really well with all of the items.

Amazing restaurant! Came here with a group celebrating my friend's bachelorette party. The service and food were phenomenal! I highly recommend the scallops and egg yolk. I wasn't sure what the egg yolk was going to be like, but I'm glad I tried it. It was very rich and flavorful! There isn't anything like it on hibachi menus in my local area! I would come back but I live several hours away, so I'm not sure when I'll be in the area again. Love it here!

Like a class in "How to Lose a Customer Forever!!"Will NEVER eat in this once-loved place again! It was our 1st time post-pandemic; went to celebrate several birthdays & planned to go again for our anniversary.Customer service was stunningly, outrageously bad! It totally overshadowed probs w/ the food & there were BIG probs w/ the food...Some things to know about my hub & me: Although we're both white we grew up in parts of Asia, he in the N (Japan, Korea), me in the SE (Indonesia, Philippines) & both have blended Asian immediate families. We're very familiar with Asian food & frequently prepare it. It's a staple food type for us; it's like always having milk; in our home something's wrong if we're short on rice or soy sauce. "Honey, we're out of kimchi" or "Don't forget to pick up sesame oil" are common phrases in our house! Another thing is: I worked in the food service industry for more years than I like to reflect on lol...everything from waiting tables to front-of-the house and back-of-the house management. I've cooked on the line, done morning food prep, weekly ordering of every supply, employee scheduling, training, hiring & terminating, bartending, & more than a few shifts washing dishes... literally EVERYTHING. I have a thorough understanding of - & a gentle take on - how probs can arise & I'm never quick to criticize 'cause I know things can go wrong that are beyond an individual employee's control. I never blame a server for a prob from the kitchen. I tip big & never leave a small tip when there are probs that aren't the server's fault. It's false to say that the customer's ALWAYS right; but in 99% of cases one treats the customer as if they were right. I have had wild incidents w/ customers who were 100% wrong; I obviously know it can & does happen. I could tell some crazy stories! I am NEVER that type of customer. So: It wasn't necessarily the fault of the person cooking in front of us... But when I asked for our hard undercooked fried rice to be re-prepared, they just nuked it without even replating it - could tell by the way it was still scattered around the edges of the plate after I'd scraped it off our plates. Any Asian, even a "white Asian" like me, can tell you: cooking rice doesn't work like that! It actually has to absorb water not just be heated more! They didn't want to take my food off the bill because I ate some salmon while waiting for new rice. Only wanted to give me a discount. The manager SHOVED my plate at me, pointing at the salmon & telling me I'd eaten it - I'd eaten much less than 1/2 of the salmon & sides. They finally took my food off the bill - very ungraciously - even after I pointed out that I'd tipped over 20% on the refund amount as well as on what we paid for.A few easy steps they could have taken, which I have done countless times; basic restaurant service 101 stuff: Could've told me there was no fully cooked rice to make new fried rice & offered me noodles (apologize & offer the customer an alternative). Could've immediately comped the food in a friendly way & given a coupon for a free meal for a return visit (give the customer an incentive to return after a bad experience). You get the idea.NOPE, instead they treated me like I was the prob, an irritant & an annoyance, by their words, body language, and tone of voice; all very negative & disparaging. The manager, also white (I called after we left & asked for her name; was told Portia) behaved as if I were a problem customer w/ over-the-top issues. I remarked that we had always liked the place; she dismissively stated she didn't recognize me; I said it's our 1st visit since the pandemic & she grudgingly admitted she had not worked there that long. Said she had to ask the owner, Asian, whether she could take the food off the bill. He came out of his office & just STARED at me for a WEIRDLY long time from 20+ ft away. He sort of shrugged & grunted & walked back into his office w/o a word. So bizarre!Portia said "Have a good evening" in a flat toneless voice W/ HER BACK TO ME as we left...so insincere. Might as well've said "Don't let the door his you in the *%#!* on the way out!"The kicker was: we both got terrible diarrhea very quickly & REPEATEDLY after we left! Sorry if that's TMI, but it IS important to know if you are considering eating there! I also had nausea & thought I'd throw up, but luckily didn't. After that my hub threw the boxed-up part of his food in the trash; unfit to eat even for our dogs. A nearly $40 dollar meal (just his) churning up intestines & finding its final resting place in toilets & the trash!Unless you enjoy beiextreme rudeness & love gastrointestinal distress, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I can't warn you strongly enough! It's more than a waste of money, it's subjecting yourself to mean treatment & your body to illness.
