Johnson's Real Ice Cream

Don't stop before you get there. There is an ice cream place and a Starbucks down the street from here. Always the best ice cream. So creamy and I have been looking everywhere for Chocolate and Peanut Butter Ice cream like 31 flavors and never found it till here. Its quaint, polite personnel and a great place to sit and people watch. Love this place.

This is a cute ice cream place in Dublin and gives outa "mom and pop store vibe" in spite of the fact that there are other locations in new Albany, Columbus, etc. I've been meaning to visit it for a while, so I came here with high hopes, but the ice cream is hit or miss. The butter pecan was fairly good but the coconut was fairly mediocre.The service is very friendly and nice and I hope to return to try some of the other flavors.

I've heard great things about Johnson's, so I was a bit disappointed with my experience. I came in with two friends and ordered a chocolate fudge milkshake. I got a large, so it was $7, and when I got it, it wasn't even close to being filled to the top. I took a picture before I drank anything (see below), and it felt like a rip-off, especially due to the high price anyway. My friends also got milkshakes, and although theirs were filled to the top, we all agreed they tasted slightly watery. My one friend and I also both noted tastes of banana in our milkshakes that had no bananas in them. Definitely an issue of cross-contamination, which could be an issue for those with allergies. Disappointing:(

Yummy and creamy ice cream was really good. Nice location and outdoor seating was just right to enjoy with other friends and families nearby. Quick service.

Very enjoyable! Friendly, prompt service combined with a variety of ice cream flavors and reasonable pricing. Located in Dublin, prepare to park in a lot and walk a bit. Tried the mint chocolate chip and vanilla pretzel chocolate offerings. Very tasty - a great dessert to follow the restaurant options in the area.

Thank you to a fellow yelper who recommended this! I had reviewed an ice cream shop down the street from here and some one said Johnson was much better. They are correct. This is some of the best ice cream around. Open since 1950 this ice cream shop is sure to please! I enjoyed a flavor called carmel pie and it was delicious! It melted slowly and left a wonderful finish. The scope was huge and my belly was truly satisfied. My husband had the Columbus crunch and loved it. They have sundaes that I will get next time! ( the Irish crunch)Shakes, malts and pup cups for your doggies. Inside and outside seating. Plenty of parking nearby. Super friendly service. Small batch ice cream at its best! Single $4.00 double $5.50 and triple scoop $7.00Choose this place over the other options nearby.

My parents and I biked to downtown Dublin and wanted to take a break with a sweet treat. We planned to go to another nearby ice cream shop, but they were only selling pints, not scoops. We decided to go a little further and ran into Johnson's, I had no clue it was even there. I'm so glad we found it because it was delicious! They have a wide range of flavors so there's something for everyone. I got the blueberry pie and raspberry cheesecake on a waffle cone. YUMMY! They don't skimp on the scoops either, my 2 scoops filled me up for a while. It was perfect for a nice sunny day.Covid era- they let limited people inside at a time. We were able to sit at the tables outside. They asked people not to move the tables because they had them pre-spaced.

Even though the weather is getting colder, it still won't stop me from eating ice cream! Johnson's real ice cream is very creamy. I got the double flavors in s'mores and blueberry pie. Those are my two favorite flavors!

Amazing ice cream! Wished we stopped in earlier in our trip because then we would've had time to stop in for a second visit!

Ordered milkshakes at Johnson's a few times. In the past, it used be a decent milkshake with a great amount of ice cream. However, ordered one today and it was basically 90% cold milk and 10% ice cream. Didn't even taste like ice cream. So disappointed.
