Had to add more after our last trip.First, I have no idea why "thai" is in the name. The only thing thai is the not very good pad thai. That's it. (and it's the only bad thing there)What they really specialize in is food from the Shaanxi Province. They make hand stretched and rough cut noodles in house. NO one else has them that I know of. And they are like no other noodles I've every had, so chewy and delicious. I crave them.Get the biang biang noodles. Has cilantro, hot pepper (not much) pieces of thin beef and bok choi. Not a soup. You add vinegar to taste. Wham!Same noodle in their soups. The lamb is especially good (and again a Shaanxi thing). Finally I tried the "very delicious pork sandwich," which in reality is Rou jia mo. It is heavenly. perfect tender fall apart juicy pork....I can taste cinnamon, cumin...not sure what else. The bun is the perfect thickness, pretty thin and crispy.Side note: spend the 2 bucks for a couple of squid feet skewers! The dry bbq on them is wonderful. This time they were very tender. Before they've been a little tough but I didn't really care, so good. And again such a nice clean, relaxing non-pretentious place. With specialties you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else in town. Don't get the pad thai.

4.5. Located in the shopping center near Micro Center plaza, I was drawn to this restaurant by their offering of hand-pulled noodles. The tables/chairs and space is typical of a Chinese carry out. You're not coming for the ambiance. I would say it's a very cold restaurant due to the small area and proximity to the outside door. Make sure you wear a heavy sweater or like eating in your coat The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful explaining the menu and are clearly proud of their food and enjoy what they do. The food is outstanding. The pulled noodles are made in house. They are soft and have a good chew. They also make their own wontons. We tried three things: The Baing Biang is really good. Reminded me of some of the flavors of a pho, but the noodles really shine. Listed as spicy, you can have the chili oil on the side and and as much of that and the black vinegar as you like. The Peking Zhajiang Noodle is another dry dish that is milder and has a savory beef sauce, cucumbers and cilantro. I added a bit of chili oil to make it spicy. The sauce did not detract from the noodles. So good! If you like wonton soup, you will appreciate the freshness of the wontons and the greens. Our friend had the Dragon Eye stretch noodle served in a broth with a fried egg and subbed in beef-- which she loved. Great experience! We recommend!

Wow. Just amazing. Got dinner with a friend and decided to come here for something new/different. It's your small cozy typical Asian restaurant with fast paced service. Food came out soon after ordering! Even though it's small, there are lots of seating and the server makes it feel like home. Our server was really nice and helpful with pointing out popular dishes that definitely didn't disappoint. The cold noodles were so good and refreshing. I surprisingly loved the texture of the cold noodles too! Not as chewy as you would expect, but in a good way for this dish. The biang biang noodles were amazing! The flavor and chewiness of the thick hand pulled noodles were phenomenal... and even better when paired with the red oil beef! I need to come back and try more off the menu! Highly recommend :)

I've ordered take out here a few times, I cannot get those hand pulled noodles out of my head. I always order extra noodles because they give you so much broth to go with it (or at least they do when it's packaged to go). My order is always ready very quickly and if you're really wanting to go above and beyond add a slice of their crepe cake! I've had the chocolate and the earl grey, the texture is phenomenal and they taste really good without being too heavy or too sweet.

I orders Ubereats from here while traveling for work. The delivery was very efficient and smooth! I didn't take pictures, but I ordered the mini vegetable spring rolls (5) and the biang biang noodles with beef. The noodles could've used a little more sauce for me, but I loved the level of chili spice. I paid extra for more beef, and I don't really feel like that was reflected in the portion size. But, there was a good sized portion of hand pulled, thick noodles that were tasty. The fresh bean sprouts and the sautéed bok choy added a nice crunch. The spring rolls were still warm and crispy! I really enjoyed it overall and would try this place again as there were other dishes that sounded enticing. There are many things in the menu that are not Thai as well.

Food was delicious! My only minor issue was with my biang biang noddle dish, not much beef at all and portion could be larger, I was still hungry! Flavor was on point but I'd probably try something new next time. My spouse got the tiger tofu and I tried it & very tasty! spring roll appetizer nothing spectacular. I also tried the earl grey mouse cake which was interesting, definitely had an earl grey flavor but desert reminded me of thin wafers with mouse. Friendly waitress.

It makes me feel bad to write this because the atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and the staff was great. The food brought the rating down for me significantly, as I ended up leaving most of my meal uneaten. The best way I could describe the meal was that the entree had way too much of one flavor and the dessert had absolutely no flavor at all. The vegetarian biang biang noodles were completely soaked in hot chili oil. Tofu was undercooked and unseasoned. The dish had no flavor other than uncomfortable heat. The tiramisu crepe cake had the consistency of chewing on play dough. It did not taste like tiramisu or really like anything at all. So disappointing.

Was craving some hand pulled noodles to celebrate lunar new year and Jiu Thai was the answer! It had been a long time since my last visit, but was so happy the food was just as delicious as I remembered. Friendly, helpful server greeted us and we sat at a little 4-top in the middle. It wasn't busy at all, but we came at a weird middle-of-the-day time. Ordered pan fried dumplings, dragon eye noodles, and biang biang noodles. Everything was fresh and delicious. Biang biang noodle is my favorite and today it slapped. Perfect balance of tang, spice, fresh, and chewy noodles. It's such a perfectly balanced plate, it's hard to order anything else!Hubs ordered the dragon eye noodle soup and it was light, delicious, and a huge portion of hand-pulled noodles. Pan fried dumplings were a perfect starter (6 pieces per order.) Only took off one star because the cafe itself is just left ok'ing a little worn around the edges. It could use a tiny bit of sprucing up and cleaning. Absolutely no shade tho. I still recommend it!

Finally tried the beef noodle soup at Jiu Thai! Their menu ranged from traditional Chinese food to more Americanized dishes like sesame chicken, and surprisingly they even have macarons!!The noodles themselves were very thick and doughy, and the portion was filling. The broth wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be so I'd probably add some extra sauce next time. The beef slices and radish paired well with the soup and cilantro added extra flavor. I also tried the lamb skewer, which was cooked well with lots of savory and salty spice on it. There were lots of seats indoors and ordering was super convenient since you can order online using a QR code. Service was quick as well, even for our big group.

Had the biang biang noodles and a delicious pork sandwich. Food was very tasty and delivered quickly, and the noodles are definitely special - just the right amount of chew. Pricing is good for many items, wanted to try skewers (the chicken hearts and squid feet) but went alone with not enough appetite for more. I will be back to try them.Wide range of beverage options and desserts, though I'm not a fancy beverage or dessert person. I don't remember seeing so many dessert options in an Asian restaurant of any kind before, except for a bakery.Very happy I stopped in for a large dinner. Only miss was missing lettuce in my delicious pork sandwich - it was tasty as can be and I didn't notice until I looked at the online menu in yelp before writing this review. I think the crunch and freshness would have elevated the sandwich, which is very deliciously hearty and a bit heavy. One final note is that the meat served had enough fat for tenderness and flavor - if you don't like visible fat on your thin sliced beef or in your pork sandwich, you may want to try one of the chicken options first, but you'll be doing yourself a flavor favor if you give the beef or pork a try.
