My daughter and I recently attended the Andy Grammer concert at the Jeanne B. McCoy Center, and we were beyond impressed! We're from Hawaii and drove in from Westerville, where we were visiting family, and this event/venue made our night unforgettable. The location is perfect, with plenty of parking and great restaurants just across the way, making it easy to grab a bite before the show. The venue itself is stunning--small and intimate, allowing for a close-up experience, yet spacious enough to feel comfortable. It was well-maintained, spotlessly clean, and the staff made sure everything ran smoothly. If you're looking for a venue that offers a cozy, personal concert experience in a lovely setting, this is the place! We can't wait to return for another event.

Such a nice venue! I was not familiar with it until my partner said he bought tickets for us to see Audra McDonald sing in New Albany, and I was like.. where? And WHERE?Such a nice location. Clean, classic design, and spacious. Even the nose bleed section had a great view and sound. Bathrooms reminded me of high school where at peak times there were some wait times. Unless there were another set I missed they could definitely have designed it with more. Inside the hall was beautiful with amazing accent lighting in the ceiling.I will say 5 Stars for Audra McDonald. It was an unbelievable performance. I will definitely keep an eye on what performances are offered here.

The night got off to a strange start. Usually reliable google maps was off their game and we, plus many others, were directed to the rear of the center, a ten minute walk thru snow. Weird.Once we self corrected and got to the right parking lot, we were greeted with many parking spots roped off, probably 50-75 spots. Many frustrated people us included, tore town the plastic flags and parked anyway. Complaints to the venue on the parking were met with "ok thanks for telling us". Rude. What up?The show was ok, Mandy Patinkin. I think he was off his game too. We've been to the McCoy many times, tonight it was just odd all around.

I remember when they built this, but I just never got around to going to anything. Today we had Baby K's first dance recital, and it was here, and, wow. It's on the New Albany school campus, so there is plenty of free parking nearby (and a playground within sight, which Baby K didn't let us forget.) The building looks relatively small, but the auditorium itself is decent size, with comfy seats, and good sight lines and acoustics. There's a balcony, but I didn't check it out. Dressing rooms and other areas off to the sides. A large curved lobby out front; even when it was packed it was fairly easy to navigate. The lighting and sound were excellent. I don't know how much of the stage work was done by McCoy employees and how much by the dance studio, but it was professional and seamless. This was a great place for this event, and would be perfect for small musical shows, school events, maybe even weddings, etc. I look forward to coming back.

I recently went to my first concert at this venue. Before receiving tickets I didn't know this place existed! It's a small venue in the heart of New Albany. The seating at the McCoy Center is wonderful, there isn't a bad seat in the house and if you have orchestra seating, your seats are astonishing! This venue is close to a few restaurants as well as the freeway. It is easy to get to and parking isn't a problem. They sold beer and wine during the show but I'm not sure about food, if there was food, there wasn't a huge selection. I'm looking forward to returning to the McCoy center!

The Mcoy Center for the Arts includes a theater offering a diverse range of "big name" performers. The venue is intimate, seating approximately 800. Honestly, most seats are very good. The front seating sections are reserved for season subscription holders. I have had the pleasure of seeing several performers here, including Chris Botti and Lyle Lovett. The center is probably about a 25 minute drive from downtown Columbus. There is a free parking lot on site. In the lobby you have an opportunity to buy wine or water to take in the theater during the show. BTW, great acoustics! Seeing a performance here is much better than any of the venues in Columbus, because it really feels up close and personal. Check out their event calendar for show listing and dates. I like that there are no opening acts. Also, don't wait to get your tickets, several events sell out.
