Off the beaten path in Mansfield/Lexington OH is this nostalgic little ice cream stand and quick bite restaurant. All the kids from the school come over for treats after school and it seems the place always has a short line. Prices are fair and portions are decent.I ordered the pizza burger, zucchini fries and an ice cream cone, my Plus 1 had a corn dog, broccoli cheese bites and Texas cake sundae. The pizza burger was the surprise I didn't know I wanted when I searched out the place. We were looking for home cooked faire and googled what was nearby. The burger was cooked just right and I ordered it supreme with peppers, onions and mushrooms. The zucchini fries were just that - breaded zucchini, deep fried. My ice cream was 'Grandma's oatmeal cookie' on a basic wafer cone.My 'Plus 1' ordered a basic State Fair corn dog. The Broccoli Cheddar Melts were something we've never had before. It was like a Broccoli popper - deep fried cheesy goodness. Her sundae was a brownie with vanilla soft-serve, drizzled in hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry. The ambiance was so reminiscent of ice cream places our family would walk us too years ago on a hot summer night. Vintage music playing overhead and picnic benches throughout. Our only downside is we didn't see a public restroom. Not that there may not have been one but it wasn't apparent from the seating area. They are pet friendly and we saw a few paws around including our own enjoying the shade. Please note - eating area is outdoors and possibly only enjoyable on good weather days.

Could not believe how amazing this place was. Not only did they stay open for us to order food, but they were freaking awesome people and even came out to talk to us! I got the Philly cheesesteak and I could not believe how great it was, toasted the bun with butter and used real nice chunks of steak!! My husband got the bacon burger and just smashed it!! And most definitely a big fan of their ice cream- reason I came back!! But the food and experience and people are just absolutely amazing!!

An excellent find in the middle of Ohio: great ice cream, yummy burgers and dogs, lots of options for the kids, too. I'm a big fan.

Reminiscent of those vintage ice cream stands of the 1950s , JBs is a cute old fashioned mom and pop neighborhood hangout , with one of the friendliest wait staffs in the area . Hours of operation are unfortunately during the warm weather months only . There are a plethora of menu choices from which to choose , with pricing similar to what you would pay at your local McDonalds franchise . Because it's been in business in the same spot For eons , it's a recognized go to location for a variety of frosted treats during the Spring and Summer months .... ice cream in a variety of flavors , thick shakes , cold carbonated beverages , slushies , and a grill that turns out fantastic burgers , coneys , fish , pulled pork , hand cut fries , corn fritters .... anything grillable or fryable ..... you name it , they've got it ! Cozy outside seating on a variety of picnic tables , benches and chairs lends itself well to a neighborly fun filled atmosphere shared by families , teens , grandparents , passerby's , and an occasional Neighborhood cat. Interesting to note that patrons who once came as children themselves , are now bringing their own children to sample the home cooked wares that they themselves enjoyed while growing up . The place has truly become a genuine rite of passage ! Sometimes there may be a bit of a wait owing to a line of hungry fans stationed at The Order entry windows .... but either people watching or petting someone's pet dog will help you pass the time I've rated the business 4 out of 5 stars only because there are no public restrooms available .Give the place a try , especially during the dog days of summer , and you may quickly find yourself among the legion of fans who have made this ice cream shack a Lexington ,ohio icon . And , who knows .... you too may find yourself returning With a grandkid or two in tow !( just make sure that everyone pee's prior to stopping ! )

I grew up going here with my family. Happy to see it's still around. Such good memories of orange sherbet cones and banana splits.

By far the best ice cream in town, really good food as well. Can sometimes be a long wait on food but it is worth it. Been going to this place since I was a little kid and it hasn't changed much. Prices are fair and service is good.

I've been coming here since I was little. This ice cream place is a very cute addition to Lexington. Service is amazing and the ice cream is even better. I even remember when they hosted a car show and my uncles 1961 ford convertible got first place :)
