Came back to Lancaster for the first time in 40 years to catch up with an old friend. We met at JB's Downtown Grill, a quaint place on North Columbus Street. Very friendly greeting by my waitress as I sat and waited. While waiting, I asked to try their French onion soup (which I love) but unfortunately it wasn't available. So I went with the second best thing, their deviled eggs. Haven't eaten deviled eggs in a long time and I so enjoyed these. My buddy arrived and we both ordered the pork belly BLT on a hoagie roll. Upgraded my side to their onion rings. Loved the sandwich, a nice and different take on the BLT. Our server was terrific, checked on us repeatedly and refilled our drinks as we got caught up. Really enjoyed the experience.

Awesome little local "hole in the wall". The sliders are bigger than you think and very good! The service was friendly, too! I didn't like how quiet the restaurant was, and the only way to fix that was to pay for a song on the jukebox ($1 per song‍). It just seemed like everyone could hear everyone else's conversations because it all echoed in there. We loved our meal and service, though. And we will come back because we love supporting local!

JB really puts his foot in it, man. This cat is the real deal, and he's serving up some great comfort food in Lancaster, Ohio. The restaurant is named after him (Jamie), and I had the pleasure of meeting him because he came out from the kitchen to greet us, even though he was busy. I was told by the exceedingly friendly server that the portions were huge. I'm not a volume eater -- more of a taster -- so I opted for a variety of sliders. I loved all of them but my favorite might have been the pork belly slider, the pulled pork slider and the fried chicken slider. Each was cooked perfectly, and made for a tasty lunch. I also got a basket of onion rings, which were fried and crispy and not at all greasy. They have a kids menu here, and my kids both ordered cheeseburgers. Just be aware that the kids cheeseburgers are sliders-sized, which is kinda small, so if you have kids who are big eaters, you might want to order them a regular-sized burger. Kids meals come with a side and a drink.The dining room is cute and has a jukebox, so you can play some tunes of your choosing while you eat.

The salad was very fresh and tasty. I absolutely loved the sweetness in the homemade Italian dressing. I also had the baby classic hamburger which was cooked perfectly. The service was quick. My husband had the buffalo chicken wrap with natural cut fries which he also enjoyed. I wanted to try the Texas sheet cake but was just too full to do so. We will be back!

If you knew where she bought her meat to cook with you would not be there I had a bad experience with this restaurant a few years ago and I can't believe the health department hasn't even shut her down just be careful if you're going to eat there
