We in Columbus are incredibly lucky to have a place like Igloo. They're doing letterpress the cool, old-school way... with machines that are much older than me! I've had the pleasure of visiting their print shop and the retail shop several times, and I'm always like a kid in a candy store. The staff are always so kind, and they love talking about their work. And the retail store sells so many Ohio and Columbus goodies--I want to spend hundreds of dollars every time I'm there! Seriously, this is the best selection of cards, calendars, and other paper products in the city!

Parking is available in the private lot of the building or across the street in a public parking area. Some of the public parking is designated as 3-hour limit until 6pm.The letterpresses are in the former carriage house of the Worthington Inn. It's a jumble in there, but in a good way. It has a wonderful ink and paper smell to it.The retail shop is housed in the Snow House which is the oldest house in Worthington. It has some office space, a kitchen for the staff, and several rooms of handcrafted goodies. They carry their own cards, book binding supplies, leather goods, aprons by AmyD, stinkybomb soaps and many more locally crafted items.

Update! My previous review still stands on the general adorableness that is Igloo, but I've since (1) hosted a baby shower here for a friend and (2) had my wedding invitations designed and created here.Wedding Invites:I'm paper-obsessed. My stationery collection is ... insane, probably. Anyway, for my wedding, and for me in particular, my invitations were REALLY important. It's like the ultimate in stationery, amiright? I'm very pleased with my experience with Igloo. We got so many compliments on our invitations!! Luxurious paper, unusual size, black envelopes (!), and a petal-box full of the little enclosure cards. It was elegant but non-traditional. Backing up, Igloo also did our Save-the-Dates. I had a personal friend design those, and Igloo worked with her to get everything just right. However, we used one of Igloo's in-house designers for the invites themselves. So, it's good to know you can use your own designer or use their very capable staff!!One little gripe: they were sort of behind schedule on the timeline for the invites. But! They made it right by us, despite some white-knuckle days there. This is where sending out Save-the-dates will buy you a little extra time, and where customer service makes all the difference. :)Pro tip - Letterpress isn't really practical for ALL the wedding stationery, though. I used an online company for our menu cards, and a local conventional print shop for our programs. You need quite a bit of lead time to have the plate made for letterpress, so... factor that in. I really liked using local businesses when I could for our Columbus-centric wedding!Browsing their wedding samples is super fun -- I wish I could have 400 weddings just so I can use all the inspiration found there. Baby Shower:Yes, you can host an event here! I gathered together the mom-to-be and some of our ladies. We designed and made cards -- we were able to choose from a selection of cards and colors, and drawers and drawers full of ... not sure the term... block designs to press into the card? You know what I mean, right? We had space for refreshments and gifts. I really liked that we had an activity to learn, explore, and do together. So much better (in my opinion) than lame baby shower games. We gave a portion of our own creations to mama for her use (thank you notes, or whatever), and then traded around so we all left with a variety of handmade cards. Highly recommend Igloo!

I attended a calligraphy class with my mother a few months ago and spent $250 EACH for the class. The information was so basic that we could've learned the same things on YouTube. Although, the supplies and packaging were great. I am bummed because it was not worth $250. I recommend Igloo to lower their class prices per person, because until then I won't reccomend anyone attending a class for calligraphy there.

Columbus is very lucky to have a place like Igloo / The Snow House. Located up in Worthington, the shop is available to do SO many things. You can:- Take a class and make stationery- Place an order from custom leather notebooks to wedding invites- Head next door to The Snow House and pick up a gift My husband and I own our own business and we set up a meeting with their shop keeper to discuss fun options for our business. We decided to book 2 hours in the morning on a Saturday to make custom letterpress stationery for our clients. It was fun to chat with Allison and her staff while drinking coffee from Sassafras. Be sure to stop in or set up an appointment!! It's amazing.

Igloo letterpress is awesome. Period. Everyone that works there has ink in their blood (a good thing). They have such a passion for their craft. My wife and I have taken several of their classes and really enjoyed them. Stop by and you will see what I mean.

My husband and I used Igloo for our wedding invitations. We provided the design, and they were very prompt, friendly and accommodating. They provided proofs via email and suggestions for paper types. In the end, our invitations were very well done. My husband, a graphic designer, is a stickler for print quality! A lovely hand-written note accompanied the shipment to us - a nice, personal touch!

I'm happy Igloo Letterpress is in existence. Their current storefront location is in Worthington, just off High Street. If they were to ask me for my opinion, I would say "Igloo Letterpress, I love your things, Can you please make more of a shop in the front rather than have all the things in one room with the letterpress? I don't know what I shouldn't touch. Would it ruin all your work if I rubbed my head on your letterpress press like a cat? I think it would. I don't want to ruin your things, I love them." Also they have classes, which I would like to take if it weren't for my ongoing Funding Issues.

This place is cute and a nice addition to Worthington's shops, but they have a pretty limited selection of cards, which was my reason for stopping in. Perhaps my expectations were askew...but if I search "cards" on Yelp then...On the flip-side, they have a good selection of other items including jewelry, notebooks, stationary, etc. the prices seemed reasonable or at least what you'd expect. Will I make a point to go back, probably not- but would I walk in if I happen to be in the area, sure. Would love to see some rotation in their card inventory. I'd give this 3.5 stars if I could...Tip: The store is located in front of a large free public parking lotTip: At the time I wrote this review, there was a check in offer through yelp for buy one card get one free, making the cards I purchased a solid deal!
