These guys are awesome!I love the revamped Nickle's Bakery delivery truck, they really outdid themselves! They love what they do and it shows, it was sweaty hot and packed at the Park Street Festival last weekend and they totally kept their cool, got the orders out fast and correctly with a great positive attitude!I splurged and got the King Kong, a double with onions, fried egg and BBQ on two grilled cheese sandwiches, the guys a bit suprised to see me order this, but I figured for $1 more, you get an extra patty and get to try the grilled cheese, why not?It was super tasty, the egg cooked perfectly, the meat of great quality, I would have wanted more onion and the grilled cheese was a tiny bit burnt but overall excellent!I hope they make it for awhile and expand to some other options, they only had 4 to chose from, 3 burgers and a grilled cheese, but what they do, they do well!

I caught the Monkey @ Hal & Al's on one hot mofo of a day but well worthwhile to come down and check out one of Cbus' newest food trucks. Brudder you can't miss this big yellow truck and the hungry purple monkeys that cover it.I had contact with this truck on Facebook before heading down and and by their suggestion I placed an order for their Wyatt Earp, "a 1/4 pound burger, swiss cheese, carmelized onions, sweet slaw and a lil too much RayRays Hog Pit Barbecue on a grilled bun". Plus I scored a side order of thier quick pickles which were big chunks of cukes and jalapeno slices in tangy pickle solution. The pickles came up first and were served in a small plastic tub, very cool and spicy tasty (until I sneezed with a mouthfull...oh the pain). My burger came up in good time and I retreated to the shade to dig in this beaut of sammich. The mix of flavour plus the tasty grilled burger made this one maximum meal 'tween a nice crusty grilled bun. My only complaint is that they should have given me a fork and more napkins cus this was one awesome messy burger.Overall for the first try a pretty darn good one. Make sure you check out these great buncha guys on their FB page and find out where in Cbus they'll be flinging their good eats at ya! (thankfully not monkey poo)

Great food truck. Met them at the Food Truck Thursdays at the Columbus Commons downtown. Unlike some other people, there was hardly any line and they were fast and friendly. Asked for a suggestion, guy said his favorite was the Dr. Kenneth Noisewater. Gave it a try - probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. Hearty strips of bacon. Great sized burger patty. Slathered in provolone cheese, swiss cheese, mushrooms, onions and fantastic dressing. I was in hog heaven. I even uploaded a photo of my burger here before digging in. It's attached to this page.I'm dead serious when I say these guys know how to craft flavors together almost as deftly as executive chefs in some fancy restaurant. It's that good.If you see this truck, give them a shot. They make good stuff.

Love it love it love it!I have tried HMFT twice now and can't wait to get it again. The first time I tried my partner's Wyatt Earp and thought it was amazing. How can something this good come out of a brightly coloured bakery truck? My kid got a standard burger which she inhaled as if it were her last meal on earth. The second time I got one of their experimental Joe Dirt burgers - 1/4 lb burger, Swiss, peanut butter, bacon, jalepeno, lettuce and hot ketchup. Holy cow was it good. I wouldn't have thought about using peanut butter on a burger but it really brought out the spicy jalapeno and hot ketchup flavors. I also tried the homemade pickles which were a delight. I ate them all and was sad when they were gone. The only thing I would ask for is some kind of french fried potato offering. I don't know the workings of a food truck or if it is feasible, but it would save my lazy self a trip to another truck and enable me to spend more money here!

With bright purple monkeys on both sides of their food truck, Hungry Monkey is hard to miss. I got a Wyatt Earp when they were at the Hal and Al's Event. The owners were very friendly to myself and the very fickle (but adorable) 9 year old that was with me. While I just got the 'standard' Wyatt Earp with sauce on the side, she took 5 min to order an original burger with just cheese on it. My Wyatt Earp was AMAZING!!! The guys here really know how to mix flavors! The swiss cheese, onions, coleslaw rocked against the tangy BBQ sauce... I ended putting the whole side of BBQ right on my sandwich!I would DEFINITELY recommend these guys!

I came across this truck at several festivals, it is by far my favorite truck out there. Their food is to die for. I have came back so many times and ordered something new every time and everytime time they never disappointed me. My favorite is the Wyatt Earp, which has won several burger awards around Columbus Ohio. When I was very hungry I tried the King Kong and that left me speechless as well. I highly recommend this food truck because it will not disappoint what so ever. The crew is all friendly which makes it even better ! Please try it out! 10/10 score for me!

It was A-OK. I wasn't blown away or anything, but it was definitely a solid burger for the price. I had the Wyatt Earp and the burger itself seemed to get drowned out by the slaw and BBQ sauce, but overall it was a tasty combination. Would certainly nom again and choose some of their other offerings to compare.

Great truck. The owners are the real deal: they make everything from scratch, come up with new and interesting food, and are super active in the local and independent food scene in Cbus. The Wyatt Earp burger I had was really tasty. It was a mess, but the onion roll stood up to the challenge. The slaw was excellent: super crisp, not too dressed. The bbq sauce was present but not overwhelming. The burger is dense and meatloafy, in a good way. Sidenote: the bbq chips that come with the burgers are spicy! very unexpected. Delicious. Look for these guys on twitter, they're hilarious. It's the best and most fun way to find out where they'll be next.

Quality food truck right here. They have been coming to the parking lot of my place of my employment lately, and I have made sure to stop each time. This truck has had some interesting burger options each time that it has stopped and I have been making it a point to try a new one each time. Each of them has been great, but I would give the nod to the Joe Dirt as my favorite thus far. This was a burger topped with lettuce, bacon, jalapenos, and peanut butter. I didn't know what to think of the combination of peanut butter and jalapenos at first, but it turned out to be quite the treat.I would highly recommend this food truck to any burger fan who sees it on the street.

I was so excited about the Food Truck Fest when I heard Hungry Monkey was going to be there. I have been craving them since I heard they put Peanut Butter on burgers! I got to the fest and went straight to their truck, and there was no line. I ordered the Old Familiar Burger (bacon, american cheese and a fried egg) well instead of the egg I asked for Peanut Butter, because Egg + Peanut Butter = Bathroom Massacre! The bread was toasted to perfection and the peanut butter gave this burger LIFE! The customer service was great as well, and the burger was ready very quickly. Burger 1-5=5. I am really interested in trying the other burger and grilled cheese options on their menu.
