Yummmm! This place is delicious. We enjoyed some tea and imitation crab, as well as a variety of other dishes

It's your typical run of mill Chinese Buffet. Nothing special about the decor. However, the food is better than most Chinese buffets. They keep replenishing food and do a pretty good job of keeping fresh food on the buffet.

Read my previous reviews for ambiance, food quality, service etc. Tonight, Friday, we just stopped got dinner because... well, for no reason other than being Friday and we were tired. We ordered the Delight of Three and the Garlic with Shrimp Sauce. The latter was specially good. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and the whole dish was very aromatic. Oh and they have new menus. Real fancy lol.

Went on a Saturday night for dinner. Despite being pretty busy, we were seated quickly and served hot tea and water. Not sure what tea, possibly Oolong tea as is popular at Asian restaurants. We tried the bean curd house style and peppercorn tofu. A bit funny since bean curd and tofu is the same thing. It was served with the veggies, tofu, and brown sauce on one plate, white rice in a bowl, and a serving plate between. My boyfriend said his peppercorn tofu was spicy yet not drowning in sauce like many restaurants do so he felt it was a refreshing chamge to have a lighter sauce. Mine was a bit heavier sauce, but I also like it that way. They are busy so don't expect it to be served immediately so don't go before a movie like we did. The wait time was reasonable for food, we simply didn't expect it to be so popular at 6pm. The older gentleman server was especially polite and thorough. The decor was tasteful and it was brightly lit. Tje menu had a really nice variety of food, even for vegans. It was a very nice dinner so we'll be back.

Hunan Garden is the only Chinese place in Mount Vernon. It's good they don't have competition. This place would get crushed if there was anything remotely better than this. It's a family owned place so they are trying hard. They just need to put out better food then what they gave me the last time. I had the Kung Pao Bean Curd. It's about $8 for the lunch portion. The food shouldn't even cost that. It tasted like it was very old. This was not fresh tofu. It was dry. This was covered in something like barbecue sauce. It was not close to tasting like the sauce should be. They were pretty slow at service too. It gets credit for being family owned and independent. Even so, it still needs to put out some good food. They seem to just need to focus on that.

Really good food clean crisp fresh made mustards and sweet and sour sauce had the hunan chicken delicious 2 of us ate for 35.00 including tip I am so glad we drove 45 minutes to eat here . Excited for our next meal here and we have not even left lol .

Service was quick and the sauces were delish. Let's face it, the secrete is in the sauces. Sweet and sour chicken was good. The General Tso was awesome. Fried rice, ahhhhhh ok. I would get the chow mein next time. Far better than the other choice.

Always good dining in or take out food. The service is quick. When eating inside it is your typical dining room.

If you like Chinese food, they have really great food in there and they're really good what they do. It's worth going back my kids live at restaurant.

Food is very good and server's are courteous and do a great job. Dining room is clean and you have a choice of seating.
