We love House of Japan and take advantage of their lunch menu pricing when we indulge. My husband loves the Egg Yolk sauce. Once he asked the chef what was in the sauce and the response was "you don't want to know" another chef called it "heart attack on a plate". He doesn't indulge often.I gobbled up my meal and forgot to take more pictures.I started with a side of veggies. Onion, zucchini, mushroom, stir fried with butter, soy sauce and a squeeze of lemon. Delicious! The veggies are included with dinner but extra at lunch. ) Worth it!)My entree was the NY strip, steamed rice, bean sprouts and salad.Hubs ordered the hibachi shrimp with egg yolk sauce and fried rice plus the included salad and bean sprouts. We enjoy "the show", found the meal to be yummy but very high in sodium (be aware if you have blood pressure issues). Like most restaurant meals, it was pricey. $60 with tip for 2 lunch entrees, 1 soft drink and a few extras (fried rice, egg yolk sauce, vegetables). But worth the rare splurge!

We have been dining at the Dublin location since it's opening days. Surrounding restaurants have come and gone but this one has survived for good reason. All of the employees, from the top down and the bottom up are always friendly and accommodating, and the food is the finest in the city. It's all about taste and the portions are substantial. Yesterday we were among the last to leave at the end of the lunch period. It was interesting to witness the entire staff go into deep clean mode. And the restrooms sparkle. We live far west and it's a 35-40 minute drive but we rarely eat Japanese anywhere else. The gentleman seated next to me was from Pickerington, an equal drive to the east, and he told me they came here because of the taste and service. Word gets around.Five Attaboys.

I love the food just not all the oil. They use a lot. I always ask for them to cook in butter and they will always accommodate me.It's expensive but good food and a fun time

Columbus Trip; Located in Dublin came for a Birthday dinner, make sure to get reservation, over all inside large with plenty of hibachi stations. Food; Ordered the Filet hibachi, everything was cooked as ordered. Adult beverages were ice cold. The Birthday girl received a pinnapple boat type dessert.Service; everyone was very friendly and super nice. Everything ordered came out promptly.

My family had wanted to go out for hibachi after church and decided to visit House of Japan. Upon driving up to the restaurant, the building is built to resemble a traditional Japanese building. The inside was packed with hibachi tables, which were all full with customers. I was looking forward to lunch, as it had to be good with this many people coming to it.We were taken back to the last table in the restaurant. Upon looking around, there'd were power outlets that were black with grease and the walls really could use a good cleaning. The table itself and flat top grill were very clean and well kept.We ended up ordering the Imperial feast for two, which has Chicken and NY Strip steak as our main. When asked if I could get a soup rather than the salad, I was informed soup would not be available as it was not ready. That was rather upsetting as every other hibachi restaurant in the area always has both at all times, but as it is how they did things at this restaurant, it was no issue. When the chef came to cook our meal, he did a typical show one would expect for a hibachi restaurant. The food was cooked in a lot of oil, which made it taste a bit off. It ended up getting a few of the members of our party ill. Not sure if this was just a one off, or how all the chefs prepare the food in the area. But, the steak was cooked to temp as asked and had good flavor, just was very oily which made it less appetizing for us. I am sure some people enjoy this preparation, unfortunately it just wasn't great for us.Overall, it was an ok experience for us. Our server was very attentive and made sure our drinks were never empty. Although I may never go back to House of Japan, I would still suggest checking it out and seeing what you think for yourself.

Well, we'll, well. This has been a favorite spot for my family for nearly 15 years. The sushi, the dinner show, the service, the value has been great. We went last weekend with reservations and we were seated right away and the orders were taken for a Sunday lunch. We ordered the Imperial Feast, Drinks came quickly, so did the salads. UPDATE-Fire Show has returned! Great experience and great time had by the whole family! We enjoyed all the food and the show. Our chef was wonderful and they all put on a good show. We have always been willing to pay for this experience. See pictures attached and please drop any recommendations you have for me. **UPDATE** Currently there is no Sushi.

We've been coming here for years and for the most part everything has been excellent. We went Sunday night for my son's birthday dinner and this had to be the worst experience we ever had here . We had reservations for 6 we arrived a little early and got seated early . They decided to to seat 11 of us at one table making it very cramped. We sat for awhile before we got waited on. When our cook finally came out he acted very confused and nervous . He kept looking at the order form like he wasn't sure what he was doing. He even seemed confused about how many people he had to cook for . He put the sauce bowls out and probably counted them 3 times before he filled them . He was very slow and not very entertaining . The only trick he did was sliding eggs down the spatula he didn't flip anything in the air and didn't even make an onion volcano. Didn't interact with the people . He did everything out of order and took too long making it . He put stuff on the grill and didn't flip it because he was trying to figure out what he was supposed to do next . Somebody ordered fish and he had to remake it because it was either overcooked or he he put too much soy sauce on it most of the food was cold by the time he got through cooking it . For the amount you pay for eating there you should get your money's worth . It'll be awhile before we go back and hopefully get better service next time . We weren't the only people at the table that were unhappy with the service!

Martin was our chef and he was the best we've ever had after years of coming here. Food was perfect and the entire hibachi setting was exemplified by Martin. Thank you!!
