Finally got around to Hop Hing for some takeout. I've been meaning to try all of the Asian restaurants in Medina, but somehow missed this one. And that's unfortunate, because this is one of the best around. There's not a lot of monosodium glutamate in their food, which means it didn't make me very thirsty after eating it. That's a good thing. The food was hot and tasty. I especially liked the fried rice. My Chow Mein Chicken was tasty, but it wasn't what I was expecting. I was expecting a variety of veggies and some noodles, but I got celery, one type of Asian vegetable, and noodles, and broth. It was basically Asian chicken soup. Don't get me wrong it was VERY tasty, but again, not what I was expecting. The spring rolls were crunchy and delicious. The Lo Mein noodles were just average.I'm thinking this will be our go-to Asian takeout joint from here on out.

We have eaten here three times in the last year. Each time, the food was meh. This time, I ordered "house chow mein" and my partner ordered sesame chicken. The chow mein was tasteless. It was full of savoy cabbage, 2 strips of chicken and some shredded pork. While I could visually identify the meats and vegetable, I couldn't taste anything distinctly. I wanted to like, perhaps even love, this place. I read the reviews. I wanted it to be yummy. Too bad for me.The staff is pleasant. The physical restaurant is small and basic. It's about the food. Completely underwhelming.
