Hokkaido - Circleville

Been there a few times and it's a run of the mill restaurant. I keep giving it chances. It looks like they have a habit of charging for fried rice but when you get home you have white rice, this has happened every time I got take out. That plus very average food makes this place a no go for me

The variety of choices and styles is great but there is nothing on the menu that is actually better than average fast food Chinese that would justify their higher than average prices. Been eating here and ordering delivery, at least once a week, since last June (Jan 2022) and haven't caught anyone smiling or willing to chat about the food yet. It's as tho everyone is afraid to speak. They have an app that actually is decent but they charge more for delivery than if you order through DoorDash. Be weary of the house offerings; they take plain fried rice and add onions and 4 pieces of shrimp and then double the price. Circleville had better chinese food at one time but now seems to be stuck with this average offering. Other Hokkaido locations have much better food offerings.

It is an unassuming, indistinguishable little place in a strip center. There was nothing wrong with the food. It was tasty and adequate portions. I dined in and the service was adequate. However, the ambience was storage room clutter. Pop cooler, 3 unassuming small seating spaces amide boxes of stuff, clutter, with a plexiglass register and perhaps partial prep area at the back right. My food was served in carry out basic containers, not at all like the lovely presentation shown in the pictures. Overall, if you were doing take out it would be acceptable. But, no reason to dine in. It isn't as nice a dine in experience as a fast food place, nor, the vintage Cheque of an old diner.

Pleasantly surprised! Great cashew chicken and moo goo gai pan! Definitely will be back.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The menu selection was great. The prices were good. I ordered the lunch 3 sushi rolls. I'm picky about my sushi and it was really good!The "yummy" sauce had a good flavor, better than most places as I don't typically care for yum yum sauce. My only complaint would be that you have to pay .50 for a small container of sauce when most places offer it free.My daughter got hibachi chicken. She liked the sauce on the chicken but said the chicken had a lot of skin/fat on it which she's not a fan of. She said the fried rice had no flavor, tasted like oil. But it was good after being covered in yum yum sauce.The service was very friendly, but a little slow. Food for the entire restaurant was all brought out at different times. It would have been nice to have my soup first and the entree's together. But maybe they'll get that ironed out.

Quick, friendly, easy to order online and everything was delicious. Have tried many sushi places in Columbus and this has been my favorite so far. All around great!

They screwed me too with that fried rice upcharge. That and shortchanging me on a large white rice (the cheapest food on earth), also no real soy sauce available, skimpy with the fortune cookies, catch an attitude when trying to claim the "free" soda, no pea pods or water chestnuts, and no actual chili peppers or powder used in their hot dishes. Sad excuse for a chinese place, even the pop-up, hole in the wall types.They should be ashamed of lying to people like this.

Food is busting. Service is amazing they offered me free cups. Don't forget the ambiance.

Ordered food to be delivered to my place of employment today. While eating I noticed a green thing floating in the sauce. After investigating and taking pictures it was found to be maggots. A fellow employee and I was sharing because the amount of food is large enough. After making it know to the lady that answered the phone we were asked to text the pic while on the phone. She laughed and said "are you kidding me" like we put them there. Working in health care this is the last thing we would do. Also after digging through the food we found several in the rice. They also refused to give my money back stating if I would return the food they'd refund me. They knew I would be reporting this to the health department. Please see photos below.

ordered Mongolian beef. what was received was nothing but onion and two pieces of beef. my wife ordered general so's chicken and most of the chicken was hard as a rock and very dry. this place has gone down hill. wouldn't recommende it
