Been going there for years it's a nice 9 hole course, perfect to take beginners or just to get out and work on your game. The prices are fair too!

Hillcrest is a country bar with 9 holes of golf attached. Awesome food, live country music, and the course itself is easy but maintained very well for the price.I've been coming here for a few years and no one has ever been rude to me. Snarky, you bet, they will give you shit all day long but it's a rural bar so most people don't scamper away trailing pee behind them to write a poor yelp review.

I went here to play 9 holes of golf and from the moment I walked in I was greeted with nothing but rude workers. This older woman asked can I help you? In a snarky tone and when I said I wanted to golf 9 holes she rolled her eyes right in at me and had the worst attitude. I will never go here again because of her. I wish I got her name. If this is the kind of service that hilcrest gives out then they won't stay in business. Completely rude and utterly ridiculous.

My family and i have been here many times over the last year as we live right down the street. At first we were thrilled that we had a place out in the country that was so close that we could go to for a convenient dinner. However, after several visits we started realizing how sloppy and crappy the service was. It seemed to get worse after every visit. We have gone about once a month over the last year and have vowed never to go back after our last visit a few weeks ago. There were many little problems like asking what craft beers they have and the bartender not even knowing what a craft beer is. Or sitting down for dinner with my wife and kids and not even being approached for an initial drink for order for 15 minutes. But i will skip the many small problems and elaborate on the last 2 times we were in there. My wife and 3 kids went in for dinner after a long day. we were starving and thirsty and we ordered a bunch of pizza. Not one time did our server come to check on us as we ran out of drinks. After eating, my kids played pool for a little while while my wife and i chatted and waited on more drinks. My kids played a few rounds and after being there for over an hour we still never had our drinks refilled. I wanted to ask but i couldnt even get their attention as they wouldnt even acknowledge us. They seemed to always be over occupied with other aspects of the bar/restaurant like punching orders in the computer or running back and forth from the bar to the kitchen which is all the way across the restaurant. Finally after having been there for over an hour it was time to go and as my family and i were standing and putting our jackets on and it was obvious we were leaving our server asked if there was anything we needed. I told them some drinks would have been nice but i will settle for the check. So the next and last time we were in there, there was a small end of season get together for a kids sports team. So they were a little busier than normal but still had 3 people on the floor and 1 on the kitchen. It was 730 when we arrived. When the server approached us were tried to order a pizza with half this and half that and our server told us that the guy in the kitchen is so busy right now that we couldnt order our pizza like that because "the guy in the kitchen is so busy he would flip out" is what we were told. So, One ALL pepperoni pizza then. My wife picked her pepperonis off and didnt get her onions as we didnt want the guy in the kitchen 'flipping out'. Finally at 830 after an hour and after the party was long gone, we got our pizza, and again struggling for drink refills. After 15 mins of slamming pizza and chips and wanting a drink i counted about 8 or ten people at the bar and another 8 or ten people sitting eating dinner. Then i counted 3 servers/bartenders. drinks never came. We were ready to leave and they wouldnt even bring us the check. It finally rolled around to 9pm (my kids bed time) and the staff was sweeping and cleaning up after the party, still oblivious to our drinks, or the fact that we were finished and simpy wanted to leave and get our kids in bed. My family and i decided to put out jackets on and stand up as to signal our readiness for the check. I even starred at the staff trying to make eye contact as a hint and they wouldnt even look at us. Finally, 15 mins later at 915, after cleaning up and sweeping and punching everything into the computer i made eye contact with our server and signaled him over for the check. My wife who works in service stated that if they dont at least discount us for this debauchery we will never come back. There was no discount. The sad and simple truth to this final visit is that we could have driven all the way columbus for dinner and would have gotten better service and still have our kids in bed on time vs. going to hillcrest which is 3 mins from our house. Good job guys, It couldve been a great place.
