Hibachi Bento Lockbourne

I've never had hibachi that tasted so bland. You can tell by the coloring of the meets as well at the colorization of rice. Once you dig into the rice the middle was completely white. I feel like they put only salt and pepper on the meat. The yum yum sauce taste just like horse radish. We had bought two meals, they include soup and sauces. Good portion but I could not even eat a third without wasting my money and throwing the whole thing away. Best part was the vegetables. Only thing I completely ate.

Apparently this has been open for about a month, but I just heard about it yesterday. And then when I got here I wasn't sure it was the right place, because it is in a donut shop. I think it used to be a Jolly Pirate, but now it's Golden Donuts and Deli, so you can get all three food groups.I went with hibachi. I was starving, and the portions were so big I left a little on the plate. I got the steak and shrimp; the steak was tender and flavorful, the shrimp was a little overcooked, as expected, but also flavorful from the sauce.Comes with noodles, which were good, rice, which was super good and surely unhealthy, and veggies which hopefully helped balance out the rest. (Shrooms, carrots, onions, broccoli, sauteed up nicely.) Oh, and started with miso soup- very good, and incongruous in a donut shop.Service was excellent- fast, friendly, helpful. Prices are pretty darn good for the quantity and quality. I will keep this in mind next time I am in this end of town.

An odd place for sure but absolutely worth a visit for very good hibachi for the price. The actual restaurant's name is Golden Donuts & Diner so don't be thrown off if you drive up and think you're at the wrong place. The building is your classic diner type place with small booths and a counter you can sit at. It was a tad messy in there but I typically don't care about that unless it's out of hand. We opted for the hibachi rather than the diner food as that's why we came in the first place. Me and my brother split an order of crab Rangoon and then got a standard hibachi meal each (his steak, mine shrimp). The Rangoon was fried nicely and the filling was quite tasty though it could have used a little more of it. The hibachi came with a small bowl of typical clear mushroom/onion soup which was very tasty and hot. The entree portion had half fried rice, half Lo mein, stir fried veggies, and the shrimp as well as your choice of two sauces on the side (we went with yum yum and ginger). All of which was very good! It was a nice large portion and what surprised me the most was how well seasoned and flavored the veggies and shrimp were. The staff was very kind and attentive and the service was great. We even grabbed a few donuts for the road as we left. All in all it was a great and surprising experience!

They haven't charged the inside at all. Still WAFFLE House setup. Portions where nice side. Steak was juicy. Staff was friendly.

The food is hot and fresh. The portion is good sized and can make two meals. I had the steak hibachi and soup. Service is quick and the people who work there are pleasant. Overall this was a nice surprise and the donuts were also delicious.

found meat in. my veggie hibachi and they argued with me like it was my fault !! very rude and ignorant staff! hell it could of been cat that I bit into , never know ! I will NEVER , eat there again! throw the whole rest and staff I. the restaurant
