This place is a gem! Servers are great and the food is fantastic. Recommend the bulldozer

This place is what you think of a local restaurant. Everyone knows everyone, it's almost right out of a movie. Was excited to try this place when we found. It. The food did not disappoint. I will definitely be back. Everyone was so inviting into their local gem of a restaurant.

Great breakfast and friendly service! It was crowded, but there were a couple of seats at the bar so we grabbed them. Wanted a good "stick to our ribs" kind of breakfast and found it at the Hard Hat. We were visiting our nephew at Wooster and it was very obvious that the folks here were regulars, and not really the college crowd. Looked like local farmers and shift workers. Even a Dad and his young kid in muck boots. Everyone seemed to be in a good mood and there was a lot of "visiting " among the tables.All indications were for a great breakfast and they did not disappoint (though the kitchen was a bit slow, it was to be expected!). Scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, potatoes and cheese grits (the kind with a slice of American cheese on top). Coffee was good and refilled often.

Just ok food and not sure what we did wrong but definitely not inexpensive. Refills are charged but we were not told, pay more for credit card, and 13$ per person for breakfast is definitely not on the lower end. Coffee was extremely weak as well. It is a cute spot with regulars and nice server. Didn't take very long to get order

Great place real simple. Don't expect a high hat or gleaming tiles. Do expect good food and good service. Atmosphere is what it is. Home like.

We have only been here two times, but we enjoy the food. it is delicious and the staff are friendly. I can't eat beef and they have a delicious chicken sandwich. I think this is one of those neighborhood places to feel at home in

Perfect breakfast. One breakfast meal they call the "Bulldozer", which includes two eggs, bacon, toast, home fries, and biscuits and gravy, is particularly delicious. Quick. The bacon is especially good. But, high quality breakfast overall.

Always the best kept secret in south end of Wooster. Always great service and good food. Specials vary widely and are delicious. Breakfast is always large servings. Good going!!! Keep it up!

My husband and I stopped at hard hat for something to eat this morning and we were completely ignored. We walked in, the woman at the counter looked at us, but said nothing. We found a seat, expecting to at least be brought a menu. It didn't happen. Two other men were served before us. I figured maybe they were there first, so we continued to wait. Then a large group of people walked in and the waitress behind the counter, the one who had looked at us and said nothing, the one who had continued to glance our direction without a word, looked right at them and said "Hi guys! Can I get you all some menus?"...this was the point that my husband and I fully realized we were being ignored. We got up and left.

Food and services are great love there home made Mush and like they if you want fast service or do you want fresh home cook meals it takes time to cook I will wait
