Sometimes I just need some straightforward Chinese by way of America food. Happy House is always a solid choice for me. This latest visit was no exception. I was in the area, so I stopped in to order myself versus online ordering. Just one couple ahead of me waiting on food, so there was no wait. Ordered a large portion general tso's with white rice and a small portion honey chicken. TBH I wasn't sure what the difference in size was? Turns out, it's a lunch (small) and a dinner (large). The lunch is half size plus an egg roll which is perfect for me. The large dinner size is big enough for two people or to keep leftovers, but no egg roll with that one. Small/lunch honey chicken - $9.50Large/dinner Tso's - $11.50It's not super cheap but it's on par with most restaurants these days. I brought it home (just a short drive) and it was almost too hot to eat! Love their egg rolls. General Tso's was super good, as was the honey chicken. Pro tip: add some hot mustard to your honey chicken! It adds a nice bite and spice and cuts the sweetness a bit. My other favorite is their house lo mein but I didn't get that. I will soon! I think the key to solid options at HH are to order it yourself either in person or give them a call. It seems a lot of issues arise with third party delivery? Just speculating. The only reason it wasn't 5 star was it's a bit expensive and has too much sauce (in general...just sort of goopy but tastes good!)

Went back for another takeout at Happy House. Tried their moo goo gai pan. Minced chicken in lettuce wrap, fried pork dumplings, and their wor sue gai. Moo goo gai pan was a lot of veggies and small pieces of white meat chicken. Decent but not great over rice. Mince chicken in lettuce wraps was very spicy...a little spicy.... You needed the lettuce wrap to cool each bite. The fried pork dumplings were like last time...decent filling but I just wish they would brown both sides of each dumpling. The wor sue gai was the big disappointment. Just flattened pieces for chicken battered in kind of a panko crust and fried. Gravy was watery but you needed something to dip the pieces in because the flat chicken strips were just dry. Would never order this again. HH is starting to look more like the 3-star ordinary than others claimed before on Yelp.

Yummy!!My office is really close to Happy House Chinese Restaurant and I decided to give it a try after I tried all Asian restaurant around. It was good!I got General Tso chicken during lunch special, it comes with drink for $7.95 and it worth it even they gave only 2 pieces of broccoli.I told my co-workers to try them and they all love it, very happy that I have a good place to for lunch, plus the service was nice, food came pretty quick. I ordered online and could pickup in 10mins!

They are intentionally not providing customers with food when ordered online and then instead of correcting it, refunding or providing the food ordered, they are telling the customer to go through their delivery service (Beyond Menu) for a refund. It is shady. I left an amazing review previously (we love their food and supporting local businesses) but we've been through this same scheme too many times with them now. We lost about $12 to food never received. They said we could only get a refund through Beyond Menu (which we have no information for or relationship to). So they can enjoy the bonus $12 they squeezed out of us. They lost a lot more in loyal customers today. Never ordering again. So disappointed.

Stopped in for a little pre-dinner appetizer of egg roll before heading off for dinner out tonight. Also picked-up some chicken fried rice for either late nite or for tomorrrow - whichever strikes me first! Happy House is a great little typical Chinese American restaurant with all the favorite regular menu items found in such a place and they do it up right. The food is cooked well and seasoned properly. Great prices for my wallet. They have a brand new outdoor patio dining area in the front that was poured and constructed in the Spring/Summer of 2021 just as the pandemic seemed to be abating.

This place deserves better than 3 stars. Had the Gen Tso's lunch portion. They need to update their website prices but so does everyone The major issue I have with current places is they all want to cheap out on the quality of chicken. Most of the time Gen Tso will be small tough pieces covered with too much breading. Not this placeHad large tender pieces just right amount of breading Sauce was sweet like I like it. Could have used some peppers and garlic but was very good.

Ordered food tonight got home and no rice. Place always takes longer than they say, offered me two fried rices on my next order instead of a credit for the chicken order which I don't want without rice. Plenty of better Chinese places to go
