I recently visited Hann Farm for the first time for strawberrie picking. The place is spacious, and the prices for picking were reasonable. They have wash sinks at the entrance for hand washing before and after picking. I had a great time and am looking forward to returning for tomato picking in June.

Sweetie found this for a strawberry picking adventure with Baby K. We planted some in the garden, but they're not ready yet. It's way out there, and there's not much signage, so keep your eyes peeled for the market. Check in there and get your baskets weighed (bring your own, or pay 25 cents apiece for plastic bags.) Then drive out to the field, way in the back. Plenty of good berries on Memorial Day weekend, and in maybe half an hour we got 4 pounds. Take them back to get weighed, and pay $2/pound. Or, you know, $5/quart for pre-picked... Baby K was able to pick some, Dada's knees and back held up for most of the time, and we didn't collapse from heat exhaustion. They only have a few other things in the farm market in the spring: jam, noodles, cold drinks. I assume there is a lot more in late summer. We had a good time, got lots of berries for not much money, and have plenty to eat and cook with till ours come in.

My sister and I went strawberry picking on Friday morning with my 2 young granddaughters and the girls had a blast for their first time. The people are very nice and we got a lot of berries for $10. We went to the store first and we had our own bags, so the young lady directed us to drive around and where to park. When we were done, we drove back around and got them weighed. It is cash or check only, but I knew ahead of time and had cash. There was also a guy inside selling fudge and baked goods who took credit. I will definitely return next year for strawberries. They were also selling hanging baskets of flowers for $7, which I thought was pretty cheap.

Looking for a "you pick" place? Then head over to Hann Farms!I had been wanting to pick strawberries, and I read a blog about how great Hann Farms was. And this place did not disappoint! It's a pretty quick drive out of the city (20 minutes from Bexley), and the farm is in the middle of nowhere. In fact, their Google location is wrong - you need to drive a little bit further south of the map dot.If you've never been before, then the staff is super friendly and will walk you through the process. But here are the basics:1. Bring your own containers or buy bags for 10 cents each.2. If you bring your own container, let them weight it.3. Head out to the field and pick until your heart is content - or your back and legs ache.4. Go back inside to have your loot weighed.5. Pay them - with a cash or check. (A check? Welcome to the sticks.)And that's it! Easy peasy!

Very friendly staff and great location for "U Pick" strawberries! If you want to pick a large quantity of berries make sure you head towards a row further on the end or in the middle of the patch. There's a mixture of larger and small berries. Also an option to purchase pre-picked quarts in the store or buckets of "jam berries" that are very ripe/imperfect aka ready to be made into jam or sauce but sold at a discount. Reminder, cash or check with photo ID only and it's best to bring your own basket or bucket (just have it weighed before you head to the field). I picked almost 15lbs in about an hour!

We went to Hann yesterday for strawberries. I must say this is one of the neatest, cleanest "farms" I've been to yet. It's strawberry patch is heaven. Never seen so many delicious strawberries in a patch! They're big and red - ripe for the pickin' ! We didn't care about the sprinklers being on while we picked as the heat temperatures the last few days have been exhausting. It was a fun way to cool off! We'll definitely be back for the tomatoes and other offerings. Cash Only...or CHECK! Who does checks any more!? I guess it beats paying the bank their 5% for electronic debit/credit access, and the savings are passed on to the customers, too.

Hann Farms is a fifth generation farm who grows great produce right there! The best strawberries, sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, watermelon, cantaloupe, zucchini, peas, green beans etc when in season! Starting with strawberries in Mid-May!! There are also U-pick fields for strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, and in the fall there is a pumpkin patch!! They have lots of Amish jams, jellies, pickles, noodles, etc and also homemade Buckeyes and breads! They now take credit cards and Apple Pay. Only a few minutes from downtown Columbus!!Make sure you stop by to pick up your wonderful produce!!

This market had a u puck but the fresh corn caught my eye, they had two kinds of fresh sweet corn. I went late on a Sunday and they were sold out of apple cider. I went back during the week and was able to buy it. It was delicious, everyone enjoyed it and I even brought some back to Illinois with me.

A hidden gem, an easy 20 minute drive from downtown Columbus. Strawberries were delicious, staff friendly and helpful. Hope to visit a second time before strawberry season ends.
