Just visited Han Ma Oom for the first time and will definitely be back! My partner and I just stopped by on the way home for a "quick" look, but we ended up staying for quite a while and spending a lot We frequent several Asian stores in Columbus, and this is one of the most reasonably priced. Right upon entering, we were greeted with a friendly hello and smile by the couple running the store. For such a small place, they have a very large selection. Lots of frozen food, noodles, instant ramen, sauces, snacks and sweets, and even some fresh options (assuming made by the owners or another local place) such as some spicy baby octopus we snagged to re-fry later. It was all so tempting.Sunrise is our usual stop for pan-Asian groceries, but Han Ma Oom has a lot of the same products for cheaper, such as kewpie mayo, ramen, Thai chili sauce, and frozen treats. Their selection is definitely predominantly Korean, but it's worth taking a look for other East and Southeast Asian items if you have some time before heading to a bigger and more expensive store like Sunrise or Saraga. Our go-to alcohol, Soon Hari, seems to be the same price here as Sunrise individually (~$8), BUT Han Ma Oom offers bulk boxes, making it a bit cheaper. Highly recommend if your go-to is Peach, Strawberry, or regular Soon Hari soju.Despite our load of items, check-out was very quick and friendly. As we were about to leave, the lady reached behind the counter and handed us a large container of Korean disinfecting wipes for free! I'm not sure if they give these to all customers, or maybe just those who spend a certain amount, but we are very grateful regardless.Absolutely recommend and looking forward to our next visit!

What a wonderful little shop! Carries so much variety & quantity for how small it is.Things I've never seen at other Asian markets for sure.It was very clean & well stocked.Anything from fresh produce, to in-house made items sold in fridge, fun freezer items, all sorts of condiments and an amazing Korean alcohol selection with a vast selection of things like soju & Makgeolli. The husband & wife team who own it are both so kind & helpful as well. They gave me recommendations, answered any questions I had, & let me practice my Korean "thank you" with them. lol.I'll be making a stop here on every trip to Bethel Rd & you should too!

Noticed this little market on my way into the eyebrow threading place next door. I had searched for asian markets on Google previously but hadn't seen this place on the search results so I was intrigued.I had been wondering where I can go for some goodies that you can't find at the standard grocery stores and just luck of the draw I happen to find myself here! This store is pretty tiny, but does have some oddities that you won't find elsewhere. & the prices are really good too! I found some sweet potato noodles, seaweed salad and specialty mushrooms here, all for really good prices!!! Just wish that the store was a little bigger so they could house a larger variety of items!

Han Ma Oom is my go to Korean grocery store! I did not even know this place existed until my mom told me a couple months ago and I am grateful that she did. I was shopping at another store literally down the road from Han Ma Oom and that store was always out of the items or did not have the items that I needed. Mind you - I live 35 minutes away. Yes, sadly the closest Korean grocery stores to me are on Bethel which is 35 minutes away. The owner of the store is so nice and attentive! She always helps me with finding the items that I need. I have recently started making some of my mama's Korean recipes using ingredients that I have never used before and the owner is quick to find them for me! The prices seem pretty decent as well compared to other Korean grocery stores in the Columbus area! I recently stocked up on all of my Korean goodies for under $100 and should be good for the winter! I'll take it! I'll continue to come back for the great customer service and great prices!

The owner is super nice! It's smaller than Arirang or Lotte Korean grocery store, but they have a their own farm produce fresh vegetables. And the owner can make side dishes with your request! Just give her a call ahead for a couple of days. You can have an Authentic side dish like from grandma's kitchen!

This is a wonderful Korean grocery store. I am Korean. I have been Korean all my life. Even when I was born. And I can say for a fact that the owner of Han Ma Oom makes EXCELLENT kimchi. I have lived in Korea. I have lived in Los Angeles. It is really good kimchi! If you want to know what real kimchi tastes like buy your home-made kimchi here!

This little Korean grocery is my favorite. Smaller than Arirang or Lotte, but I can always find exactly what I need and the prices are great! The real hidden gem of Han Ma Oom is the sweet woman who runs the shop. Want to know the best dumplings for your manduguk? How to choose the perfect Korean radish? She'll make sure you have exactly what you came in for.
