Hall of Fame Cafe

We went there for breakfast today...this is a family diner.One of us got 2 eggs, home fries and sausage...it was cooked to order, hot, and quick. Two of us ask for a "mix" which was of the menu..and they quickly said yes...it was a mix of eggs, sausage, bacon, onions, peppers, home fries, and cheese...it came out hot and fresh...it was goodddd...and it all at a great price...

I was passing through Wheeling, West Virginia on a road trip and decided to stop into Hall Of Fame Cafe for some breakfast and i am so glad i did. I ordered their signature Hall of Fame Omelete with whole wheat toast and ate every single bite. The ingredients were undeniably fresh and seasoned/grilled to perfection. Although the decor and building was pretty dated, the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere earned 5/5 stars. Highly recommend.

I was in town for work and ate at this restaurant for breakfast. I thought the food and service were excellent.I had the Spinach and Feta Omelette with Marble Rye and a cup of coffee. The omelette was delicious. The rye was good, but maybe a tad dry. It didn't bother me and wasn't work knocking off a star. The coffee was normal.My waitress was personable and prompt with anything I needed. It was obvious that a lot of locals patronize this restaurants as the waitress would greet the patrons by name (almost all of them as well.)Things that can improve (but not deserving of removing stars):1. The map directions bring people to the door to the bottom section of the restaurant and not to the corner entrance. I almost walked away thinking the restaurant was closed until I kept walking. I am not sure if this is a fix the restaurant can handle, but it is worth noting.2. The seating arrangement is a bit perplexing as there is a big round table and some bar seating. I think this could be changed to provide more traditional seating.

This place is a little hidden gem. I frequent here regularly. The food is always hot and well done. Its pretty much a 1-2 person show and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Go for the spaghetti buffet or stop on in for breakfast

My mom had bragged about how good the burgers in this place were, so I was excited to try it out. We entered through the upstairs, then had to walk through the kitchen to get to the stairs down to the table area. The service was very impersonal; the waitress never responded to thank yous or other courtesies. The food came out separately, but quickly. I ordered the Hall of Fame burger with fries and gravy and a side of cold slaw. The side of cole slaw was huge, and it tasted ok. The fries and gravy were good portion but extremely salty, and the gravy had little goopy congealed clumps. The burger was dry and flavorless. We waited 15 minutes after finishing before we finally hunted down the waitress for a box and our check. She didn't come back after dropping off the last of our food. The table next to us sat dirty the whole time we were there. Not at all impressed and won't be returning.

Where to start. The food is ALWAYS fantastic. Burgers, soup, or anything on the menu is great. The lay out is slightly unconventional but it makes it feel sort of like home. Angel and the rest of the people are caring and they dont get your orders wrong when its something special. I highly recommend them for lunch or catering.

If you haven't had there water I highly recommend. Best water I have had hands down 5 stars all day. Love this place. "Water" you waiting for? Ha get it....Go get some food people, oh the girls are great to

Delicous home cooked breakfast! Outside building needs a face lift but food was fresh and yummy!

2nd time back to this quaint little restaurant while visiting out of town. Great home cooked food at great price. I'll be sure and stop when I come back to town again.

Amazing service and amazing food ! Absolutely loved this quaint little cafe ! We are from Pittsburgh and I highly recommend trying this if ever in Wheeling !
