Gypsy Joe's Ice Cream

The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because they are ALWAYS out of the flavor of ice cream I like. The banana pudding ice cream is so so good. Obviously it's popular so you would think they would start ordering more of the supply to meet the demand but they don't.

Delicious food and good service. They even have pup cups. We really like going there after visiting rising park.

In the mood for a HUJASSSSSSS homemade donut? One word: Here. Their made-from-scratch apple fritter is bigger than a grown man's hand. And thick. No thin-as-elephant-ears cheapness. In fact, every donut here was massive. This joint's cinnamon rolls are literally as big as my face, no joke. If it's just you, that sucker could last for three days' breakfast. Now, if only they made their ice cream...I got a small size cup of ice cream, which is also really big. Like, 1 cup of ice cream. My Moose Tracks was super creamy and tasty. Perhaps it's Eddy's brand? At any rate, it was a splendid treat to cool off the body!

I stop in everyday for a black coffee and a maple cinnamon roll. I am always greeted with a smile and always feel like they are happy to have me.

Grew up getting ice cream here. Lots of family memories made at Gypsy Joe's from their original storefront to the location they are at now. Always good donuts and ice cream! Emerald Lace and Black Raspberry are my favorite. Donuts are fresh daily and made in house. The highlight of Lancaster.

I've been going here since they opened. It's a special place to me because it's kind of a landmark of my life growing up. Made lots of memories here as a teen and watching my niece and nephew grow up. They have a large selection of ice cream, milkshakes, sundaes, and really good donuts. I think they have THE BEST Oreo ice cream, along with killer lemon and raspberry sorbets. Be prepare to EAT when you come here because they SERVE it out in large scoops.

We loved the ice cream! The teenaged boys working provided great service! We will be back again when in Lancaster.

When they first started they were great unbelievably great and the last few years they went downhill a lot I would not recommend this at all the place that they moved out of has an ice cream place and so far it's been great and of course there's always a dairy Queen that's great also just be aware when you order something from there and you watch and make sure they wash their hands it's really went downhill

This has been our go to ice cream place for almost 20 years. It saddens me that this is coming to a close. The prices continue to climb with no end in site. The board said pint was $6.00, we were charged $7.00ea for a total of $21, for 3 pints. We used to get a pint packed to the top with ice cream, where they would pack it by hand until it was completely full. Tonight it was several scoops and then the pints were handed to us. I asked for it to be more full and she added more, but it was still not full. Then we were told there were no lids. Well, three strikes and you're out. This has been a long time coming, we have had several times where they were closed when they are supposed to be open, the prices are now exorbitant, and they now have a giant tipping screen when using a credit card, instead of just the tip jar. So now we are being guilted into a 20% tip. Enough is enough. Sorry, guys, it was great while it lasted.

Recent visit. Walked in to find skinny long-haired young man leaning against the wall behind the counter wiping his greasy face with his bare hands.Without washing or putting gloves on his hands, he reached for the ice cream scoop and asked me what I wanted. Ordered 2 flavors in a bowl and then watched him lean in and reach into the ice cream tubs to get the scoops. All I could see was the back of his head as his hair flopped direcly over the ice cream (no hair net or restraint of any kind).He was nice. The ice cream was excellent."Gross" also comes to mind.
