Even with COVID Restrictions. Half the instructors are wearing masks, kids are not wearing masks. There is no social distancing. The owner makes excuses but will still accept as much money, despite health concerns. Someone needs to lock this place up on violations.I will be clear! Anyone can make up what they say they are doing, but reality and health concerns are real. THE COACHES DO NOT STAY MORE THAN 6 feet even with the mask on. Read CDC GUIDEANCE. KIDS ARE NOT ENFORCED TO WEAR A MASK, NOR SOCIAL DISTANT WHILE WAITING IN LINE.

We went to a birthday party here for a 4 year old in the middle of winter. It was a really great experience! The gym space is huge with tons of stuff to do. There's minimal supervision provided so parents have to stay up and active and CLOSE to kids, but at 4 that's expected. The kids had an absolute blast! I would highly, highly recommend this for a birthday party for the kindergarden/preschool set - so many things to do, so much room to run, dance, climb, bounce, play - and probably the highlight, they got to run and jump and dive into a massive, deep foam pit... and then clamber out and do it all over again. It was a really, really good time.Gym X-Treme also has Open Gym on Friday nights 8-10 pm and on a few weekdays for kids and parents to come check it out and get their play on. One caveat, this is NOT the place to come and let your kid to go off and play while you sit on the sidelines on your phone. You will need to help your kid and/or supervise pretty closely - there's a ton of equipment and some they will definitely need help with. Also, adults can do a lot of playing along with the kids here - everything is built for adults so feel free to bounce, jump, climb, dive along with the little ones!! For the active parent and child, this is a super fun time and after playing here for two hours, my daughter crashed earlier than she's ever gone to bed in her life. ;) So, really a win for all.Have fun!

I began competing for Gym X Treme about four years ago (and moved gyms to Universal Gymnasts Inc. two years after that). It was my first competition team and I was more excited than I had ever been in my life! It was a short drive away and the facility looked nice and clean (this is where my one star came from...), what could possibly go wrong? For the first year, everything was wonderful in my eyes. I was competing with a great group of girls and I had a coach who wanted to win... It seemed like that was all you needed to run a successful team program. Now I understand that I was certainly not sidekick; because I would have gotten out as fast as I had come in if I could see what was going to happen. It first started to get bad when certain gymnasts were constantly being given more opportunities than others. Day after day a couple of select gymnasts (the same few) would be given more one on one time with the coaches while the other girls would be constantly put down or ignored all together; not receiving any corrections or guidance to help them become better gymnasts. Then, I was put in a boot because I broke my ankle. There I was; stuck doing conditioning for 4 hours everyday at practice. I was doing fine, great actually; even though I couldn't do everything, I was building up my strength and working on my flexibility. Then it got to a point where I'd been in the boot so long I'd practically lived in it; apparently the owner of the gym had noticed. He came out onto the floor to talk to me, which I had fully expected and was prepared to tell him exactly what my injury was and how long it would be until I could do gymnastics again. Instead he took an entirely different approach...He asked me if I was allowed to take my boot off to work some bars (which technically doesn't involve any feet, unless you fall or need to get down which was very likely). I had gotten strict orders from the doctor that I could not take my boot off for any other reason besides showering and sleeping. I told the owner this and he went into a long conversation about how (and quote) "You cannot be a real gymnast if you constantly listen to what people are telling you to do." He told me multiple times to disobey the doctor and take my boot off; he even told me about one of the older girls who he convinced to take her wrist splint off and compete state meet. I was so frustrated I ran out of the gym crying and called my mom to come pick me up. Not only has this happened, which should be enough to convince you that this is not a safe and friendly environment, but other events as well. One of my coaches decided to go grocery shopping in the middle of practice! She called over a young, inexperienced teenage open gym chaperone to watch us do dangerous skills while she went grocery shopping! Not only is this unsafe, it is rude and unprofessional. I do not recommend this gym and hope, for your own good, that you listen and take into consideration my story and the events that took place before choosing a gym for your daughter, son or even yourself if you are a gymnast like me.

We took 20 middle school aged boys to Gym Xtreme for a youth group outing and everyone had a blast. The party hosts were fantastic and kept the boys engaged and entertained while they got a great workout! Highly recommend!

We feel extremely comfortable at Gym X-Treme! The coaches really take the time to get to know the girls. We've been bringing our daughter here for gymnastics for 3 years. She loves coming to practice and adores her coaches.

They recently had a coach join their team to coach them and before he had coached a buckeye gymnastics. (He joined after the lockdown). The reason he "left" buckeye was because the team director had been receiving multiple complaints from parents saying that their daughters were verbally abused, and when he spots he grabs onto them leaving bruises. Please beware.

Two weeks ago they let my child play in open gym while I sat in the waiting area the entire 2 hours without saying a word and today tell me after an hour of play that she can't be on the floor by herself without me following her around unless she is a member. Perhaps I misunderstood what accompanying my child means since I am new to the gym and we were considering joining but you would think the same supervisor (both times) who sits there and collects your money when you sign in would actually look up from her cell phone and ask me how old my child is when I first walk in and then as a simple courtesy remind me then that I need follow her on the floor before we start. I found the way how this misunderstanding was handled extremely rude-the teacher on the floor just sent a child out to tell me and when I came on the floor with my child to try to understand the floor instructor just glared at me while my six year old got upset. Neither adult (the instructor nor the supervisor sitting at the desk) even tried to approach me to explain anything to me. This will not be the gym for my children after such a horrible experience.
