Grover’s Restaurant and Tavern

The food tasted good; however, we arrived at 7pm on a Friday evening and weren't served our 2 meals until 7:50 pm (and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy). Apparently the server and the cooks didn't communicate well and she explained that she had to place the order twice. My Reuben sandwich on rye was piled high with corned beef, a slice of Swiss cheese and sauerkraut and came out hot. On the other hand, the French fries also came out hot but were soggy in the middle. The other meal, a hamburger served with sweet bourbon sauce, also was tasty although my table mate ordered sauce on the side and instead the sauce had been spread on the bun.Our service began with oil-dipping sauce and 4 diagonally-sliced pieces of plain white bread. It lacked creativity yet snacking on it helped to pass the time while we waited for our meals to arrive.

This was a nice little place. The host and servers were very attentive. The food was good and reasonable pricing. We had ribs and fish and chips. The ribs tender and the sauce was very tasty. Unfortunately I forgot to take pics before I started chowing down

We stayed at the Millersburg hotel last year, this restaurant is located in the hotel. We had a very good experience a year ago, so we stopped in again. You couldn't ask for better service, that said we were the only ones in the restaurant. Wife had spaghetti and a salad, I had the Club Sandwich and cup of chili. We both enjoyed our meals. We decided to share a piece of peanut butter pie, one of the employees had recommended to us and he suggested we order it with strawberries on it, claimed it tastes like peanut butter & jelly so we did. Would say I'm glad we shared a piece as it was very rich, but also very good would recommend trying it! I was surprised to see that this location was not in Yelp! So I added it.

We had the wild mushroom omelette it was delicious! Definitely planning on a return visit!

Had great service!! The food was really good. Glad we made the trip. Very happy and has a significant history behind it. We had the chicken fingers, pulled pork potato cakes, mushroom chicken and everything was good. You need to save room for peanut butter pie!

We had a group of 11 on a Friday night. They got us right in. The service was EXCELLENT!!!! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We had so many good laughs. Everyone in our group ordered something different. We had wings, alligator bites, catfish, quesadilla, ribs, chicken sandwich, and more.... Everything was very good and not a single person in the group had anything bad to say about their food. The jambalaya and French onion soup was spot on! The specialty bar drinks were all soooo good, I loved the Peach Mule. We will be back every trip we are in town.

Very charming place and very historic. We went in based on the yelp photos on what they had on the menu. Unfortunately what had charmed us into trying, was not available. The menu was more upscale and we could not decide on a plate after being excited to eat what we saw. Will give another try another time. They did apologize for not having the site updated

Nice meal . Service was good. Our server Chance was helpful and friendly. Restaurant was very busy food took awhile. Lemon meringue pie was delicious. Would eat here again!

Had breakfast-the eggs were the tastiest fresh scrambled eggs I've ever had, and the bacon was also delicious!
