We finally made it after being here over 20 years and passing it almost everyday. And we werent disappointed. Found out they are closing due to retiring after 40 yrs and closing March 1. Read article in 614 Mag. Corned beef hash, eggs over hard, rye toast and butter, pancakes, bacon, hash browns and grits. No that was not all for me! My husband enjoyed some. Breakfast was good! Eggs so good didn't need s&p added. Pancakes were big and fluffy and good. Hadn't had corned beef hash in forever and liked it; it was fried it like a patty. Bacon crispy like we like it. Good for you being able to retire now. Enjoy life!

Small, classic diner on the edge of Bexley. Decent lot with easy access. 6am-2pm, breakfast and lunch served the whole time. Cash only, but prices are reasonable. I happened to have plenty of cash so figured it was a good day to stop in here. Almost looked closed at 8am, and I was the only customer when I got there, but before I left there were half a dozen more (so the place was half full.) Service was friendly and fast. Menu is pretty standard, but they do a good job on the standards. I got biscuits and gravy, because of course. The biscuits were dense enough to hold the gravy, but not tough. The gravy looks house-made. Not as dark dense as mine, not as white and creamy as some, a solid standard sausage gravy. Sided with perfectly cooked (though underseasoned) hash browns, made a good meal. Super quick, since I luckily got there before the rush. Cheap and filling, and tasty.

We have eaten here over the years. Pretty much a traditional diner with acceptable prices and good.They have reopened after some work was done. I expect the same standards to be help up.

Beaucoup points for atmosphere and service. It feels so comfortable, so refreshing and energizing, I am thinking of making this my go-to spot for passing time in public. Sadly they close at 2pm. The service was a treat. I was fortunate a gender fluid, bearded person with long nails (who was cheerful and engaging) was my waiter.The meatloaf platter, however, was just ... meh. The meatloaf texture and taste lead me to suspect it came from a can. Same for the potatoes. The coffee was good though. When I return I'll get something fresher to eat.

Best service around! Everyone was extremely friendly from the moment I walked in to when I left.The restaurant was cash only, which I'm not sure if that's normal or was a temporary thing, but it was not a problem. If you don't have cash, here are banks and ATMs right across the street if needed.I ordered one of their speciality breakfasts which had eggs, toast, has browns, and french toast. The french toast was a little cold which makes me think it could have been cooked a little longer but was still good, specially for the price.The interior could use a good deep clean, but I didn't mind at all. I will be coming back soon!

Our first time here after driving by so many times and just glancing over. My husband said I have always wanted to go in there so after taking care of our other errands I surprised him by going back to this cool looking diner.Breakfast all day so he ordered the butter finger pancakes that were drizzled with chocolate and had I believe butter finger candy bars crumbled in. He couldn't eat it all the portion was so big.I love a good BLT and they serve one of the tastiest i have had. My fries came out piping hot the way fries should be. The menu is non stop. Curb appeal is not so hot but when you get inside you'll get good food and friendly service.

I've been having breakfast at Grill and Skillet for many years. The place is not fancy, but the food is good and consistent. I usually order basic eggs and bacon, hash browns, etc. The service is excellent; as a matter of fact, a waiter or waitress is usually at my table before I've gotten settled into ordering. There is a nice variety of menu items, and the food is served very quickly. Like anywhere, the prices seems to have increased since the pandemic, but, hey, they are a small business probably trying to recover some lost revenue after COVID.I recommend Grill and Skillet.

Strawberry Pancake explosion in your mouth !!! OMG ! When I say this was thee BEST pancake I've ever had in my life, I mean it !This is a family owed business since 1944 & they look and act like it ! Diana the owner still works and walks the restaurant speaking and interacting with all guests.Josh is my fav I love his beautiful spirit !Imelda is sooo cute she's teaches me Spanish words ! Eddie & Lindsay are the cooks ! Lindsey made the strawberry pancakes wowowowowow is all I can say. I love how she sliced them thin so they cook perfectly in the pancake. Brilliant. I've never seen it done like that before.Anything you choose on the menu is amazing.You can't go wrong.I come here regularly and I feel I and my business is appreciated. I normally do takeout. The food is always hot and placed in different containers. I never had to worry about the pancakes, toast or French toast getting soggy. The outside doesn't have curb appeal. Most of the good places don't. The proof is in the food. I have called before opening, my call was answered and my food was ready at opening time.
