Cute gift shop with an eclectic selection of classic gifts, like stationary, mugs, jewelry, and decor. The staff are helpful but not overbearing or high pressure, which I appreciate as a casual shopper. The prices are reasonable, and it's great that this shop makes some nice quality brands, like Rifle Paper Co., available in central Ohio without having to travel to Columbus.

Miss Liz has done it again with help from all of her beautiful elves! When you walk in the door, after having spent at least 5 minutes looking at the stunning front window, you are transported to another place..like a living fairy tale! It may be a small shop, but it is mighty in its offerings. At Christmas time, it is enchanting beyond words!

The staff at Green Velvet are second to none when it comes to helpfulness, kindness, and caring. The store owner has a real knack for stocking the store with fun and useful stuff. I can always find a gift there for ladies, men, and kids. Even if I don't buy anything it is always a pleasant place to visit; peaceful and it smells wonderful. If you haven't been there, you are missing out. So thankful to have Green Velvet in Granville!!!

If you need an interesting place to shop for yourself or for a gift, or simply to get your mojo back, Green Velvet is perfect. Walk inside and you'll be surrounded by beauty. Fun clothes, jewelry, decor, adorable baby items, and all sorts of wonderful things. Don't be surprised if Liz has candy out to sample or tucks a few pieces into your bag! This is a must-stop-in whenever I find myself in this part of Ohio. Save time for exploring picturesque Granville, too!

Ther's always something new, beautiful, and interesting to see at this Granville gem. The merchandise is unique and continually changing. It's just a wonderful place to visit to find that special, out of the oridinary, gift. The owner, and the women that work in Green Velvet, are absolutely some of the nicest, kindest folks you could ever hope to meet. Thank you for creating this little slice of retail heaven in the midst of the village.

This shop on the main square of tiny Granville is a hidden gem. Amazing soaps, distinctive jewelry, fabulous gifts and stationary, wonderful candles, and a simply gorgeous window display make this shop really stand out on the main drag of town. I visited for the first time this past Sunday after dining at a nearby pub. For a quiet shop in a tiny college town, Green Velvet has it all. I felt like I could have easily been shopping in a boutique in a quintessentially Parisian street. I will be returning to shop for holiday gifts for friends and family (and myself!) Kudos to the owner of this shop for her wonderful merchandising and product selection.

I really wanted to like this shop. I recently moved within walking distance to it and have often admired it while passing it by. Today, however, I finally stopped in and was ignored until I stood in line to ask a quick question. While I was keenly aware of being ignored, I was not put off by it so much as I was by the incredibly rude behavior of the woman who worked behind the counter. A thin and rather unhappy older blonde woman was very condescending to my mother and I, as for example, when I admired one of the items for sale and asked if there were more like it, she seemed to be bothered by my question and huffed "Listen-- if you don't see it, we're out, okay? I mean it's two days before Christmas!" Nonetheless, there was no need for this unprovoked tone or the subsequent repeated demonstrations of her very poor attitude. Prior to earning my degrees, I worked in several retail stores and never treated any customer so poorly, let alone when they were polite. In any case, there are SO many other places one can spend their money where customers are treated with respect, or at least not outright disrespected or made to feel bothersome for inquiring about items on display-- this is standard protocol in stores, three (not two) days before Christmas or otherwise. I was ashamed to have taken my mother there and explained when we left that in most cases, people in Granville are much kinder and much more approachable. We then proceeded to make several purchases within and beyond Granville and encountered no further unprovoked snide remarks, particularly not from store owners or employees.

I'm a visitor from Florida and have been in several times when I visit my family here in Granville. If you like being followed around by store personnel while trying to shop the very tiny overstocked store, than this is your place. I wanted a sweater there but all three women in there are very snobbish and felt like they don't need my business. Couldn't get out of there fast enough!! Rude!!
