Goodfellas Pizza

This place is good for a quick bite late night, which is exactly when I had it. I wanted something hot and filling, and nothing else was open on the street. My slice of cheese pizza did the job and was only 3.50. I'm not saying this place is anything special and they only had two choices for pizza (which meant my gluten free friend was out of options), but it'll get the job done.

Giant square of pizza for 3.50? Heck yeah! The service was friendly and fast with a cool old school dining area. It probably hasn't changed since it opened, and I love that! The pizza itself was good, not too greasy, and I'd definitely come here again for a cheap lunch!

I love being able to buy pizza by the slice. They give pretty big slices at a pretty reasonable price. It is a drunk food for most after a night out at the bars. And I have only had it after a night out at the bars... it was solid.

I love this place..It's a classic. I first went there over 20 years ago, when I was a student at OU.It's a staple of the food ecosystem of the University & the town of Athens.It's delicious, inexpensive, & it smells terrific. Doesn't get any simpler than that..

Holy cow! Get the meatball roll! It is unreal and for just $3.50! Best meatball sandwich I've ever eaten.

I was in Athens over the past weekend for Numbers Fest and ended going out to the bars. A few friends raved about Goodfellas Pizza, so I was excited to grab a slice after a night out on the town. Unfortunately, even in a highly inebriated state, I found their pizza to be pretty gross. Just to make sure it wasn't a fluke, I had it again the following night. Same conclusion: underwhelming greasy pizza served the drunk college masses. While Goodfellas pizza was certainly edible, it was not enjoyable. It resembled thick-crust Sicilian pizza and was cut into rectangles. Like other past reviewers have mentioned, the problem with the pizza is the crust itself. Apparently, I am not the only one who thinks it is too spongy and doughy. Like others, I felt it needed a little more time in the oven. Even with the all the oily cheese and pepperoni, I found the pizza itself to be fairly bland. It desperately needed more tangy tomato sauce.The good thing about Goodfellas is their pricing. At $2.50 for a good-sized slice, the value is hard to beat. You can also get 4 slices for $7.50. I found the people working behind the counter to be friendly and efficient. Goodfellas is what it is, a post-drinking pizza joint. So it will probably hit the spot after a night of bar hopping. Just don't expect the best pizza in the world, especially if you're not under the influence of alcohol.

No seating available when you have to wait for your pizza, $20 for a half sheet of pizza "8 slices" it's a decent size but not for only two options of pizza that being Pepperoni and plain cheese. Highly disappointed, I doubt I'll be making a return here again. Staff is also very cocky with this "I'm aggravated and ready to go home".

Best service!!! Gonna be vague to not get anyone in trouble but a few days ago somebody working really helped me out! Needed some food and didn't have a lot of money and it was passed hours, they opened up the doors for me and let me get some food!! Dude through in an extra slice and was super super kind to me! Much needed friend thank you

best pizza ever. love all the staff and the pizza is amazing and fluffy. some of the best and cheapest lunch prices uptown. 2 slices and a drink for $7!!!!
